A year back, i had a mole on my head, which was crusting and bleeding and very scratchy. My sister who's a doc, got me seen by a surgeon who suggested we get it removed. the mole was removed and everythings ok.untill now, i decided to check wht it really was.. was it cancerous? or anywhere around it? from wht i hav read thts wht it seems..

I felt my sister was hiding something frm me since i felt there was a very odd tension on the days of my surgery..

I think that if your mole would have been cancerous your sister would have told you about it. Did you have any other external treatment on where the mole was? Did you undergo chemotherapy? Was the mole black and have striations on top of it? Did the skin specialist dig VERY deep when he excised the mole. Did he fill the hole with some sort of putty? Remember that not every mole is highly cancerous and many have been removed with no after affect. Your may not have been cancerous at all.

the doctor who removed it should have sent it in for testing and told you if it was or was not cancer. call him and ask again. he should answer your question or have your sister call him.

any removed tissue is examined by pathology...had it been cancerous you would have heard very quickly.
