I'm a girl and I say " maybe". I started having a net buddy and it's been great. I would love it to be serious, but the possibility of that is slim, mainly because we are 1500 miles away from eachother. But, I guess you never know, things can change and people change. I hope we become true friends and more someday.

I wouldn't date any one on the net. You really don't know what kind of person they are or what they really look like. You could get into a lot of trouble . They could be dangerous and show up at your front door. So my advice is not start a relationship over the net. I saw to many of my friends end up with terrible people.

I think it all depends on yourself and the other person, If I keep an open mind then anything is possible. If you love someone it really doesn't matter where you meet them so long as there's that real honesty between eachother. real love will bring that out of eachother and trust will be soon to follow and the need to wonder if their like that behind your back wont be there the same as if you where right in the same room as them...

Depends on the girl. Also, if you are being absolutely honest with everything, hopefully you will attract the same. Unfortunately, the net is still not the greatest place to meet someone. The best is face to face, with someone you know knowing someone else kind of thing, so there's a real point of reference.

Serious people make serious relationships. Net or no net.
But more flirters are in net anyway. You have to read diligently the mails and also between lines. they you will get the right one.

For example read all answers to your this simple question. Analise all answers, you can read the difference.

No, you cannot. You have no idea what a person is really like just by talking to them on the internet! You can't see their facial expressions, you can't hear the tone of their voice, you can't get to know someone simply by typing on a computer. And if the guy asks for a nude picture, he's a creep!!

ok listen to me and listen good, allow me to silence any critics of this method of meeting people...

me and my girlfriend met on this actually to be deadly honest, she lives in Perth, Western Australia and I live in Launceston, Tasmania.
things have been great and we love eachother like nothing else, always think about eachoter and to proove my point she has photos of me all over her bedroom at home, in her wallet, computer desktop etc etc etc...

anyway love can work this way and to again proove that she gets here (to Launceston) next Friday afternoon permenantly, it'll work because I love her and I know that she loves me...

so long as you talk as often as possable can keep things strong then you wont have any problems, or hopefully not.

hope this clears up any confusion
Mitch

Yes, some girls can, just as some guys can. It really depends on the person

my opinion is.... anything over the net is a joke and even in real life to some people flirting is just another way of having fun

P.S I'm sorry if that offends anyone
