I have a 21 month old and have avoided all nuts since she was born. She has displayed no signs of allergies to anything else. But I still get worried she's not old enough?

My daugther also 21mths. I give her try everything since she is 15mths. We need to make sure the food is safe for them . U need to crush the peanut or give her peanut jam . I am sure she will like it after few try . Do not let her eat to much on her 1st try food . Start with little bit n add more on next time . So she will used to the taste .

Now I heard doctors are recommending 2 or 3 before you try nuts. I recommend a peanut butter sandwich first. If peanut allergies run at all in your family, I recommend talking to your doctor first.

You should wait till he is about 3 to avoid choicking & allergy onset. However, he can have other kinds of nut (butters ) We give our son cashew butter & jelly sandwiches it has not been linked to providing a onset of nut allerys. Also If you don't know stay away from honey until 3 too, it can lead to allergy's & death.

My son has been eating peanut butter sandwiches since he was one.
He is 2 now and loves to eat peanuts.
I supervise him when doing so.
If they have an allergy to peanuts regardless of them being 2 or 5 years of age it will show up.

Ask your Pediatrician. I would start with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. But peanuts, besides causing allergies, can lodge in her throat and choke her.

At least not before age two-- and then best if they're crushed to avoid choking.
And not near other kids.
