QUESTION: Are you REALLY, REALLY happy with your Engineering major? Or are you just "in it for the money" ?

It isn't uncommon for students to change their major, 2 or 3 times before landing their "heart's desire"... If you're just going through the motions, you can't POSSIBLY enjoy what you're studying...How are your grades normally in Engineering? Maybe it's TOO easy for you and you're not being challenged enough???

I thought of one more thing it could be: you're so USED to the adrenaline rush you needed to GET into college, that when everything slows down (as it should be) you probably MISS the hustle and the high energy drama...You know that some people don't feel normal unless their lives are filled with high drama and stimulation... Does this sound like you??? Then go get a part-time job, or get more exercise...

For example, I FINALLY got my calling and finished a Criminal Justice degree at the age of 49... Previous to that tho, I dropped out of every junior college up and down the state !
But, when I began to study Criminal Justice, I kicked some major A** ! I loved it SO much ! I just soaked it all in like a sponge...

If you DO love your major, when's the last time you had a checkup with the doctor? Could just be a chemical inbalance with your body...

OR, since you had to work to GET into college, DUDE, maybe you're just PLUM tired ! Take some time off to "smell the roses!"
Make sure you have a "balanced" life with school AND a social life, or your studies (and everything else) will be unappreciated and boring ! (You just sound like you're BURNT OUT to me, tho...) Good luck !

This is going to sound counter-intuitive, but sometimes the best way to delve back into work is to schedule in your fun time. You should always be rewarding yourself for your hard work with hard play. Don't forget that it's sometimes easier to enjoy your work when you miss it.

i think if you are really eager to gain back your determination you can get it back and i think it is by studying harder and think of others like your parents and relatives think of the things they have done to you their sacrifices just to make you to a good school just think of others then.maybe you'll gain your determination back..........but if you really can't gain it back go immediately to a professional councilor or to a psychiatrist.........
