The real question is why are you trying everything else? There can be certain points in life where things seem quite dark and hopeless. This can go on for a long time, and it can truly make it seem like life is not worth living.
This is not the truth. things will change and you will change. To be honest, what I'd do is give youself a year or two. Come up with a time frame (long enough for things to change) and say that if you're still completely convinced that suicide is the way to go in 2009, then you'll do it. Until then, try and live life to the fullest-- really try it out to see if it's something you want to hold on to. Good luck!

Someone who's tried everything else........ to live??? Could you possibly have tried EVERYTHING out there to make yourself feel better?
Today might suck and the past 10 years of your life may have sucked too, but tomorrow, something good may happen to change it all. If not tomorrow, then maybe the next day. Hold onto that thought that something GOOD for you may be just around the corner. I know how you're feeling, and it's hard to get yourself out of it. It is an everyday struggle. You have to take it one day at a time. There is no overnight fix for depression. You probably feel suffocated by life right now and probably isolated. Chances are that you're isolating yourself. Get yourself around people. When you're contemplating suicide, you're probably feeling very alone, which leads to feelings of hopelessness, and nobody cares, so why bother living. You are living your own hell. Suicide is very sad and i would never recommend it. Tried it myself, and it's very scary once you initiate it.
Isn't it interesting to see how many people write in on this subject??? Kind of goes to show you that many people are where you are. I've said this before and this is what I've learned myself. Everyday can be a struggle if you let it. There will always be ups and downs. That's what life is. Cut yourself some slack and KNOW that there is a reason that you are here to begin with. Don't you want to find out what that is? When you get better yourself, maybe try to help somebody else out. Kind of like a chain. Maybe you can volunteer at an animal shelter if you like animals, or volunteer somewhere that you feel like you're appreciated and making a difference. I wish you the best of luck, but remember that if you do go through with it, it's final- and you will hurt many people who you "think" don't love you.
Take care and LIVE!!
Also.......there's a book called "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz in the self-help section. Not very long, but VERY helpful. Your question was "would you recommend suicide to someone who's tried everthing else?" My answer stands at NO, and maybe.. just maybe.......because you NEVER know.........this book (and it's hard to believe a book can help at this point), but maybe this book will be the one thing that can turn your way of thinking around. Please check it out.

what is it that makes you think that suicide ever solved anything. What is it that makes your life in such a way that you would consider suicide. There is a lot of hurting in this world, pain and
suffering, why because in our nature we are naturally deviant. Look at a child who taught him to say no, or to be selfish. I was inherant. So what am I talking about? I am talking about sin. When I was12-16 I thought about suicide a lot. even attempted it barely a few times. I realized that life is a fight and suicide is wimping out. As a child my reasonings for wanting to leave this world were nothing compared to the problems I face now. However my life is different. I have something to live for. I guess what I want to ask you is that if you died today where would you end up? Heaven or Hell. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the father except through me. Heaven has a one way only clause: through Christ. You can receive him now by praying this prayer:
"Jesus, I know that I have sinned against you. I know the truth is that I have sinned by my own choice, and I am the one responsible for it. I know that I have earned punishment from You, and that the fair punishment would be death. Jesus, I believe that You died in my place. Forgive me for my sin. I cannot cover or take my sin away, I am relying totally and only on You. You are the only one who can save me. I reject my sin, I turn away from it, I repent. Come into my life, take away my sin, and show me how to live my life in a way that is right and pleasing to You."
Suicide is no option, receive Christ and let Him change your life and give you something to live for

No. I would never reccommend suicide, EVER. I have had many close friends of mine do it, and it does nothing but devastate those close to you. No matter how dismal the situation may look now, somewhere out there, there is a way past it. I've seriously thought about it several times myself, and things worked themselves out eventually. Suicide is the cowards way out, something for someone who isnt strong enough to face their problems head on. People will have even less respect for them after they did it than they had in life.
But I dont know what the problem is they are dealing with, or what they have tried.
I'm no psychiatrist. But I have learned how painful it is through experience.

thats a ******* good question! i don't know the answer but i'd love to find out others opinions also! i am currently suicidal and i just got let out of a mental hospital for attempting suicide, but i still think about it constantly throughout the day as a fair option!
BTW, i'm 17, life sucks, and suicide is just the easy way out, but i'm not yet sure if thats really a bad thing.

I would only suggest it if the person is also fat, ugly, and stupid. That is really the only reason for suicide. Or maybe if the were mildly retarded. And don't listen to all these fat heads preaching about Jesus. You need to get you some porn, and alcohol.

No. That is the weak way out. EVERYONE will face hardships and hardtimes in their lives. That is life. But the point is to enjoy the things in life there are to enjoy and just work past the rest. Life is always precious and always worth living.

Maybe you haven't really tried everything !
I suggest one more thing for you to try: To know and love God, the One who gave you life and now you are refusing the gift !!
If you really knew, loved and worshipped Him you wouldn't think to stop this relationship.
Please read the following verse from Quran deeply:
"And do not kill yourselves. Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you". (Surah An-Nisa Verse 29)

NO I WOULD TELL THEM TO SEE OTHER OPTIONS. TRY LOOKING INSIDE AND DEAL WITH THE ROOT OF THEIR PAIN. SUICIDE IS ALWAYS THE EASIEST WAY OUT.
