first let me ask you, do you really want the jobs that the mexicans are doing, like working in a chicken processing faculity? will you work all day in the hot sun on construction, digging ditches etc,?I guarentee the ans to those questions are a resounding no,
so lets see if we can locate the real problem, could it be that under N,A,F,T,A, our factories have moved to other countries to escape the ridiculious union demands? where a man earning $16 per hour can come in drunk or doped up or just plain won't do his job , yet the company can't fire him , I heard a man say one day that they paid him $26 per hour to show up if they wanted him to work they would haft to pay hm more?????what about these companys who out source jobs to other countries , I am talking about good paying jobs , that Americans would do, no one seems to mind this why?if the American co, who have left the U,S, in the last 5 years were still here every one would have a job including the mexicans legal or illegal,

Well, my brother-in-law used to work in construction, a job that had very good pay and a lot of prestige. He had a nice house and was able to support his stay at home wife and child. Competition for construction jobs was very heated and there was a lot of pride in having a construction job. This was true only 25 to 35 years ago too. Since so many illegals have come in this country construction pay has dropped out of sight. Mexicans will work in construction for a fraction of the former pay. American construction workers have been put out of their jobs except for the workers, especially foremen, who can speak Spanish. The problem of outsourcing is much more complicated then you presume. I'm sure that some companies do it because they are trying to increase profits for themselves. Other, however, do it because they can no longer pay the wages that American's get so it's outsource or die. Yes, there are some jobs such as field work that Mexicans will take and many Americans won't. Who, though, was doing this work before the illegals arrived? I can only presume that it was Americans. If we need foreign workers to do work that enough citizens won't take then why can't we have a guest worker program so they can come here, earn money for their families and the go home? Do you realize that there are all kinds of government programs that are ONLY available to illegals? This is insane!! Why do American taxpayers have to subsidize people that shouldn't be here in the first place. Why are we kicking native born citizens off welfare and establishing an entirely new welfare receiving class of non native born people?

you have a good point.

However, consider the benefits of outsourcing. When we send 50,000 jobs overseas, we pay those 50,000 employees a fraction of the amount we would pay an average american.

Dont compare apples to oranges though, paying an indian man the equivalent of lower-than-minimum wage is not bad at all. They are actually making a good living off that money. The cost of living is much lower there.

The money saved by outsourcing, ultimately lands in the consumer's hands. With lower costs, competition forces companies to lower the price of thier products. therefore, we save money. Unemployment has hovered at a reliable rate for a long time now, not increasing, or decreasing much.

I hear people complaining about not having a job all the time these days. A) they have a felony, thus they screwed themselves. B) they wont take a job they consider "below themselves" such as McDonalds. C) they arent looking hard enough because they just dont want a job in the first place.

Some people, in some areas of the country have it hard. There really might not be any jobs for them. But certainly this is not as a result of outsourcing.

So maybe we should all imigrate to mexico and other countries where our factories are being sent.It makes no sense to me.People immigrate here from foreign countries for better jobs.Yet all our textiles are being sent to other countries for cheaper job production. If I was a foreigner,I would rather stay in my own country.Probably find a better chance for a job there.

Umm, .. who do you think was doing those jobs BEFORE the mexicans??
also... If they were not ilegal then they would not accept that pay wage and the employers would maybe be forced to hire people legally and at least pay minimum wage..Just a thought
...Let me add this.. I do not have any thing personal against mexican people, I do think that they should be here legally though ....
