I am heterosexual. It is the way that I was born. I could not choose to be attracted to women because I am sexually attracted to men.
With very few exceptions, a person's sexuality is determined before birth. Mine was, wasn't yours?

So Jules would be able to be attracted to her same sex, interesting. She just chooses not to!

Well, let's all see how to avoid answering the question. What's the matter, don't want to admit that is is not a "choice"?

I'm straight & judge people by their heart. Well try to mostly. While I love the smell of woman in the morning (Apocolypse Now) others prefer
uhm a guy. Gay people are people. Just like you & me.
Scientifically, it's been proven (though still a secret many don't know) that gay people have a heart, kidneys, lung, spleen, feelings etc.)
Kinda like, well, you & me. It get's more interesting...
By not accepting them, heck well they get hurt.
Now 20, thirty years ago parents didn't accept them and that's real pain. So today, just to show those pricks who never accepted them,
well they march.
You know, those Gay Pride thingies. Plus some whacked out cowboys (or secret cowgirls?) in NYC and other places, have over the years physically assaulted & even killed gay people?
This aint no sh*t. Now that's some real pain.
So more marching...it's called self-defense.
Well wouldn't ya know it, along comes these Politically Correct folk (many poor and needing to write books to get rich) and bingo, magic.
That is, except, like I told you, I'm a hetero. So going thru divorce, I got raped. Why? Cause I got a d*ck. That's what the judge said, or coulda. So my feeling is, let's accept gays so they stop fraternizing with these here PC folk.
PC folk love to write books & articles about us demented Heteros. Hmm, well some of us are
and angry enough to hurt gays. Well that makes it harder (bare with me & stop! changing that tv channel) for me to see my son via visitation.
You see, one hand washes the other (no pun or sexual verbal intercouse intended.) See I figure if the religious folk accept the gays and the gays
well know being happy mom & dad accept them
as well as society (isn't that the way it's supposed to be?) then these here PC folk will have to eek out a living other than writing articles and books saying kill all the white men or that all heteros are nuts.
Got that? ;P Now we could all live in peace, false domestic violence would go away...it's all related (we are all related.) Soon feminists would be running to find other work...perfect huh?
And it all starts with accepting those different that us. Simple but then lawyers, the ACLU and unemployed others get involved...somehow
now we all eyeball each other & insult each other.
That gives Corporations an in...to dissect & divide us. Weird huh? Ok I'm thru...I mean can you imagine God saying he doesn't accept people for having purple skin?
And if you think gay men feel hurt, ho boy, lesbians today are friggin angry! We need to give em more rights...heck let em run the country. Come on, can ya imagine a whole army of gay men in Iraq...just hugging the Iraqi men?
The war would be over...
Anyway I know you got a great heart. But hate to tell ya, most women by the time they are thirty and/or have their first child, HATE men for the rest of their lives? Hormonal...you'll get it too and one day will be trying on a bra with Betsy or a Linda, sipping a little white wine...
So I'd have to disagee with you on the lesbian part. I'd say bleedin together for a million years in caves...you kinda stuck close together.
In certain cases, uhm too close...!@ So how do you know that one day, you too won't hate men?
Trust me on this...ok it's true there's a small tribe of women that actually like us. And no I can't get attracted to my sex; guys we are some ugly hairy a ssed folk! How can you like us? :D

A. I find it more important to be able to create children with my partner, than be sexually attracted to them. Even more I find it more important that I can get along with them and enjoy their company as well as feel happy with them. It is possible to love anyone, and make anyone happy. I don't know why you equate love and happiness with sexual orientation. Is sex the only thing you feel happiness and love from? I am heterosexual and I can make people of the same gender happy and feel loved, without being sexually attracted to them. Aren't you able to do that with the gender you're not attracted to? However, I am not against gay unions. Civil unions should be provided to anyone, with equal rights. Marriage is where I believe it is a religious right, and thus each church should have the right to deny and accept any couple they want. When the government defines marriage, it is favoring one religion over the other: either it is favoring the churches which want gay marriage or it is favoring the one which believe marriage is between a man and woman. Personally I see it as the latter, but I don't think the government should define or provide marriages, not even the way I personally view marriage, since it is a religious rite and right. In this ideal situation, marriages would be recognized by governments as civil unions, and again, civil unions would have the same lawful rights as marriages used to have. The difference is we would just finally be getting the religious rite of marriage out of the government, and back to the churches where it belongs.

I could choose to be attracted to someone on a mental level but not a chemical one. I too believe sexual orientation is decided before birth and not one that you choose but you can choose to play with it and see if you get more then one idea.

That's why they call it chemistry. I could look at a super model and think she's " okay". Then see someone my friends would say is average but something about her would rock my world.
" A man has a penis and a woman has a vagina and there is a reason for that." Some one made that kind of reply. God made your mouth and tongue to eat and speak. Does this mean that God doesn't want people to have oral sex?

Yes, I never had a day where I was torn between liking men or liking women. However, I believe that you could condition yourself to be attracted to the same sex. If you repeat something enough times you'll believe it. If someone was bound and determined to change their preference, I feel they could. Basically brainwashing yourself.

Neither homosexuality nor heterosexuality is a choice.
It is related to the sexual hormones and genes in your body
You get them when you were born and you can't change it
So it is the creator's (if exists) choice..

No , I could not choose to be other than what I am sexually and thats a hetrosexual. I think sexuality is something that is predetermined before you are born, like your eye color, or hair color.

Amazing how many of the people answering you didn't even understand your question.
The point you were making is that NO ONE 'chooses' what gender they're attracted to. Heterosexuals don't, no one does. It's automatic. You just discover one day that you're attracted to girls or boys. You don't 'decide' which it's going to be, it just happens.

The Bible tells that if man or woman choose to lay with same sex, they sin against the body, and against nature, and that the earth would find a way to spit them out of her.
It also says,
IF they refuse to believe Gods word, and his ways.
he would turn them over to there natural mind, and they would have no conchies of sin. That they would be allowed to do there sin, but pay for it in death.
so with there choice, they choose death, and not life.
We are to still love them, yet hate the sin.
We do not have to love them close up, I choose far away,
The old sane is,
they made there bed, now they have to lay in it.
If they repent, God will save them and make them whole.
That is why we are to still love them.

Yes. some people are born gay or bi-sexual and heterosexual.
But if you can bypass religious stereotypes and peer pressure. Most people are bi-sexual as they can derive a certain amount of sexual satisfaction when with someone they trust of the same sex.
