I am planning to learn piano in college next semester. I have learned it when I was six, but I quitted for whatever reasons after a year of practice. Would it be hard for me to pick it up again?

You can not be too old to learn to play. All you need is time to practice ,a great desire to learn, a piano or keyboard, a songbook , and if you can afford it( lessons). I learned a lot going through piamo books by my self. Whether you take lessons or not , it would help you learn faster if you would purchase flash cards to learn the notes, which is comparable to learning to read a book , you must first learn the a,b,c's. YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU HAVE THE DESIRE TO DO IT.
I use to practice piano on the school bus with my book proped up and a cardboard keyboard on my lap, then I would practice playing my music and learn to imagine the sound. Eventually I could heard the sounds in my mind.

It's never too late. I have learned piano when I was also six and quitted after two years. Then now I wanted to start learning piano again. I can say that I can still play some songs but still there are some things I need to know, only the teachers can tell. It's not hard unless you forgot how to read the notes!

I guess you are going to find out, He,he

But seriously i had 6 mos lessons in the first grade.
Took band from 4th to12 grades (Brass). Messed with the piano occasionally but didn't really get after it until
about 35. I must say I am getting rather good. How ever I do not use written music. You would call it playing by ear. But it is more like most people play guitar. Kinda like piano licks. A little chord and scale theory. If I can whistle it I can play it. I don't really practice I just play.

Go ahead and start playing! Chances are you will remember much more than you think. I took lessons for five years when I was young, then didn't play for years. Finally, I bought a piano
and picked it up with surprising ease. My main advice--
use a metronome, and practice slowly at first.
Keep with it and you will be glad you did. Music is great!
