K. I need a simple nice meal with some kind of theme, something with meat , but no sea food. And what simple dessert can I make and what do I need for the whole full meal. I'm going to cook my family and my boyfriend a meal , the night before we go to disneyland for my 19th birthday. I want the theme to be nice and fun. Does anybody have any ideas. Thank you , so much. And have a nice day.

this is a meal i make for my family at least 1 time a week and it works on a tight budget. Get some chicken breasts ( 1 for each person) cut it into little chunks or shred it. cook it in a sauce pan until its done. meanwhile boil a big pot of water. Cook noodles. it really doesn't matter what kind. i use the extra wide egg noodles or sometimes i use the ones that are about an inch long with a hole in the middle (i think they are called penne). Get 1 or 2 jars of Regular Alfredo Sauce (the garlic kind tastes kinda funny). cook the sauce with the chicken that is done (it really doesn't need to be "cooked" just heated till warm). Have a green salad or some kinda vegetable to go with it. If you want to make it fun, try and find some noodles that are shaped like Mickey Mouse or something. Make a cake or Mickey Mouse shaped Jello for dessert. All of this stuff is affordable and EASY to make.

Call it a French bistro theme: Roast a whole chicken.... 350 degrees for about 1hr & 20-30 minutes. Serve with a great tossed salad, french bread, green beans.. cut little red potatoes in quarters, toss in some oil, salt and pepper and throw on a cookie sheet and bake with the chicken or put the chicken and the potatoes in the same roasting pan and cook together.
For dessert.. how about ice cream sundaes... not very French, but easy and you can buy the hot fudge in a jar. Or... vanilla ice cream with fresh berries... blueberries, strawberries etc.

Spaghetti with meat sauce Salad and Garlic bread. Brownies and ice cream. You can either brown hamburger an add it to canned spaghetti sauce or buy it with meat in it. Add a teaspoon of oil or butter in the Spaghetti water to keep it from sticking together and follow directions on package. The garlic bread will be in the frozen food section already made up. Pre mixed salad greens. Brownies are easy and in the cake mix isle. If you want some good fairly easy recipes, email me. Give your dad a big hug. Woops, Almost forgot the ice cream. ;-)

Sorry about your mother leaving, sweetheart.
You could make spaghetti with a meat sauce and a nice salad and serve cups of pudding with a little whipped cream on top. This would be an Italian theme.
Or
You could make tacos or beef enchilada, spanish rice and refried beans and serve flan, its a pudding with a little brown sugar syrup on it( made from a jello box, its easy) and the theme is Mexican.
Hope this helps, little senorita.
God bless you and may He comfort you and your loved ones.

Fun dish - - - Porcupine meatballs. Cook up some rice, let it cool. Mix it into ground beef. Season the beef with salt, pepper, oregano, basil & garlic (Or cheat and just add some goo dpasta sauce and garlic. Form into meatballs and brown on the stove. Once they have browned, put them in a casserole dish and cover with pasta sauce. Cover. Cook on 350 until meat is cooked approx 20-30 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs. VERY tasty.
Simple dessert --- parfait. Cool Whip and chocolate pudding. Put alternating layers into a see-through glass, top with half of a strawberry.
simple fun foods...
