Lots of shorts, tank tops, comfortable shoes, sandals, lots of bug repellent. Let's not forget the Sunscreen. I've been to Mexico twice and the heat is relentless. Take plenty of batteries for your digital camera or plenty film b/c it's absolutely gorgeous over there.
Swim suits are a must!!!!

Mexico is always nice and warm so these are some of my suggestions:
Daywear: Light weight comfy clothing and very comfy walking shoes. If you plan on going in any churches then make sure you bring something for your head and that your shoulders and tummy are covered. Sunglasses are terrific and so are waist pouches, digital cameras (don't forget lots of batteries), wearing sunscreen and bring a bottle of water. Bring a few bathing suits and something like a wrap to put over your bathing suit. A lightweight back pack comes in handy but don't put valuables in it.
Evening Wear: On casual nights if eating in the dining room any nice outfit will do - some people dress up more than others. Men can wear dress pants and a shirt and optional sports jacket. Formal nights dress up as much as you want - you'll see plain outfits right up to very very dressy. Don't forget an evening bag and dress shoes. They take lots of pictures on these nights. Men wear suits with ties or tux's.
*You have the option of eating in the buffet area of the ship which is usually on the lido deck and the dress code is casual there.
When heading off the ship when in port always have a bottle of water. It gets very hot and even warm water tastes good then.
Some other things I personally take with me are books (ship has a library though), an insulated travel mug for bring a cup of tea/coffee down to my cabin at night, hand sanitizer, and sometimes binoculars. You never know if you will come down with anything so in a clear zip lock bag put Gravol, Immodium, Tylenol, a couple of bandaids, a safety pin and a pack of cough drops.
I use alot of zip lock bags when travelling for cosmetics, medication, bathing suits and digital camera. It comes in handy at the airports too because things in your carry on can then be checked easily if necessary.
Have fun!
