Depends on ones own mind. Some are full of hate for a certain "thing" to the extent they never change their mind no matter what they read. These will not be helped by Yahoo Answers.
I suppose there are others who like to know a fact and might change their views.
I once read a question about Muslims, a person answered: "they are the cause of 9/11?" see how narrow minded he was. Looks like all the Muslims are behind the 9/11 theatrical play plotted by Bush. Sorry for all the souls lost on that day.

As a Christian I will never deny our Father in Heaven or His Son Jesus The Christ. My faith has nothing to do with anyone else. Religion and politics are two things most people hold sacred. It really is no ones business how I worship or how I vote. I don't judge a person by their religion or politics unless they want to make a big issue of it. It is natural to defend when you are put on the defense. I have been raised and live in a very diverse county and we love one another and if a neighbor is in need we all help. We have English, Irish, Scott's Irish, Greeks, Italian, Scandinavia's, Slavic, Chinese, Japanese, Blacks, Mexican, Indian, Spanish, French, Armenian. Mid Eastern, Turkey, Iran, etc. Our people were immigrant's who came here in the 1800's and early 1900's looking for work, freedom to worship. What we do care about is being civil to one another. We need to be civil to one another here on yahoo answers.

Well, I suppose it has helped in a major way, by allowing people to ask questions and become further educated on different religions without having to fear or worry about the reactions that they may receive if they asked the same questions wherever they live. Knowledge is power, and while we are still a long way from total acceptance, the fact that so many people are willing and able to ask and learn is a promising thing!

no one can bring religions closer. Have you read how it written "I shall gather my elect from the four corners of the earth." Christ is head over all, and He calls his sheep by name. So therefore no matter, how one tries to unite religions, it wont work unless Christ is glorified in all.

No.

Because the bigots are still here. They won't stop bashing Islam and Muslims.

Muslims will never stop defending Islam.
