don't be rude take the mint someone is being nice not to many people out there like that !!!!!!!

it depends whether the other person takes one too - then i think it ok. the person just offered you to share the mints.
but if i stood next to somebody and he would then take out a pack of mints and said here, have a mint (without taking one too)i would be worried...
it also depends whether you actually HAVE bad breath - that is a different story... maybe you smoke and people who do not smoke dont like the smell of somebody who has just had a cigarette. that is understandable. it is not a nice smell, like i often take a mint after i had a cigarette, just automatically
