Down the California Coast. Take US HIghway 1 (also known as the Pacific Coast Highway). It's a very gorgeous drive plus you can hit up places like: Redwood Forest, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Big Sur, Malibu, Long Beach, Newport Beach, and San Diego.

My roommate and i did calgary-seattle-portland-reno-vegas-san diego-tijuana-san francisco-LA-seattle-vancouver-calgary
It's right around the 4000 mile mark....6500 KM
and an excellent trip
