In my opinion....it is because we often turn a blind eye to the horrors of our own society. We choose to ignore the things that we feel we cannot prevent.

Christians tend to prefer to spend money on trips to other countries to "spread the word of their faith"....rather than to simply hold out a helping hand to the hurting child in their own community.

I think the appropriate question is WHY is at least 1 child murdered every single day. Not just Christian children are murdered. Also this nation does NOT only consist of Christians. Obviously you don't care about any people besides Christians and aren't you people supposed to love one another? Yes you are.

This is a Judeo-Christian nation in a cultural historical way, but I don't think that the US is a nation that lives by the commandments, on daily basis. This is a nation that has forgotten God and invited science instead. This is a nation that has lost it's balance and that is why people are so lost in so many ways: civicly, mentally, emotionally, morally, religiously, spiritually. BUT....other nations with stronger Christian roots have similar and worse problems, in terms of its children protections. TV is exporting a lot of the worst that this US culture has to offer.

Do the math: 300 million people. Thats 300,000,000 people. Lets say 25% are under the age of 18- so call it roughly 36,000,000 kids. Out of that 25% how many parents are legally insane? 5%? 1%? Call it 3%- thats still 1,850,000 kids. Throw in the stupid kids who are gang memebers, and who think doing drive by's are cool? You could easily double that to what? 3,500,000 kids?

I think I'd flip that quesiton around and ask why isn't MORE kids being killed? Either by each other or by insane parents?

It is the Christians fault. God said if "his people" would repent and seek him He would heal their nation.
PS Prayer is allowed in School numb bum. Not organized prayer.
Trust me as long as they have tests there will be prayer in School
And actually 1 child a day is a pretty good rate. Not perfect but I thought it would be higher

First of all, this is NOT a Christian nation...who the hell said that that was the offical religion of this country?! And second of all, no (*scoff*) RELIGION is gonna stop a murderer! I dont care if he's muslim, christian, jewish, buddhist, kabballah, or watever...nothing stops a damn murderer. Nothing...they only feel religious guilt AFTER the murder, which is no help at all. "Oh, I killed ur kid, but I prayed and prayed and confessed to God and He forgave me...can we be friends now?" Yeah, right. In wat fantasy world?

Have you heard of the 5th commandment. It states "Thou shalt not kill." It is a simple law, in simple terms. It is impossible it could not be understood. It is very, very clear. Sinning is done by free choice or free will. Unfortunately this law is not respected, especially by women and advocators of abortion.
The Christian doctrine does not condone abortion. It is willful murder.

Where in the Bible does it say any nation of man can or will be Christian? Our founding fathers were deists, believing in the moral teachings of the Bible, not the miracles, such as creation or the virgin birth.

Don't blame Christians or Christianity for that -- not in a country where God isn't allowed in public schools, and where unborn babies are allowed to be slaughtered in abortion clinics.

It's not the Christians who introduced that nonsense into our country.
