or will the harpatzo happen before his real name is even mentioned? I do know that the restrainer (holy spirit) has to be taken away in order for him to come so I am thinking that the saved will never even get to see him in the public eye at all. But I could be very wrong

I'm not sure, but that is a good question. Personally, I think it would frighten me and make me upset to think that I knew the person who was the anti-Christ and couldn't say anything about it. I'd rather not know so as not to feel guilty for not saying anything.
Also, I don't honestly think he would be in the public eye because he has to be able to influence nearly the entire world. Once in the public eye, he will already have a lot of bias for and against him, and he wouldn't be able to lead the masses down the wrong road. He has to persuade everyone that he is a good and humble leader....even though he's straight from hell

The theory, mind you I say THEROY, is that he will be a great public figure, able to bring peace to many nations, and people will be amazed by his great intelligence and ability to rule. At some point, he will suffer the mortal wound, after wich he will claim to be of God, and soon after, there will be the Tribulation. So, its possible we will know him in power, but may not have the chance to see him "turn bad" so to speak, depending on it you believe in pre or post tribulation rapture. Hope that helps.

as this particular one may be symbolic rather than literal it is possible that he has fuffiled this one too.
alternatively with all the troubles in the area it is foreseeable that this too may occur
these movies are free, they do not deal with the christian prophecies but i think you may find them interesting, they certainly are very educating and i must admit i came to them rather the cynic but left far more open minded

That is a good question. I think that the majority of the Saint's will be resurrected before the Anti Christ takes over. Maybe you should read one of the left behind books.

I don't believe he will be blatantly obvious... which is why so many people will file past him asking "is this is the man?"......
He wont be easily spotted, but when he does rise, his policy will be hard to ignore.... yet, alot of "so-called" christians will believe his lies.....
His lies will cause a war....... people will die for the sake of faith....
