i was a big tomboy when i was younger and used to rollerblade a lot and that built up a lot of my calf muscles, so now i was just wondering if there was any excercises or stuff that could reduce the mass of the calf muscle.

The general principle is if you want to build muscle mass use high weights and low reps. If you want to reduce mass use high reps and low weights.

So, don't do exercises that stress your calves including: running, cycling, and calf extensions at the gym.

Try something like swimming which concentrates on other muscle groups. It still requires you to use your calves -- but much less so than cycling for example.

I have the opposite problem -- chicken legs. I have read that the calf muscle is the most difficult to build up -- and in my case that certainly seems to be true.

All muscle has a certain amount of fat in it so if your losing weight your calfs will naturally get smaller too.

Besides surgery?

Sitting on your butt more... getting sick for a few weeks...

Most women who have large calf muscles are overweight, causing their legs to do a lot of work just to move them around. Not saying you're overweight... but....
