The Lord is our Peace. The Lord is our Salvation. Good Will is from God, who sent His Son in the form of a man, who became Jesus of Nazareth, and died for the sins of the world. Sounds like Good Will to me. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, was on Earth. The Lord is my Peace. It's God's nature to bring peace.

although many say the angel is a messenger of the Lord, I have heard that they can also be described as ambassadors between heaven and earth. The intentions of Heaven are first and foremost upon the angel's lips. That is all. Heaven intends this thing, and this is it. No other passage is so marked. It is from heaven, indicating a fulfillment of God's promise to man.
When Christ uses the word "peace", he is endeavoring to calm those around him, for they thought he was a ghost. The same thing may be at work here. It's not every day that an angel visits you.

the angel appearing to the shepards in the field (who were afraid) - also a host of other angels appeared and that probably is a lot of angels!

he meant Christ the son of man the son of god the beginning and the end will bring peace everlasting by eternal life for man and show mankind how to show goodwill toward all other men

Then why did the Angel say.."Fear not...?" of course she was scared..Mortal flesh can not sustain the Heavenly.

He was explaining how to have 'peace on earth ',by having good will toward man.The christ would come to personify this message.Why should she be scared?

perhaps he was leaving us with instructions or a goal to work towoards--we haven't done a very good job of obtaining either, have we?
