I'd be willing to bet he/she would be physically assaulted. No joke!

So, why do Christians claim that it's atheists who are trampling on THEIR right to free speech?

figure it out!: "They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to rest, whether small or great, whether man or woman." (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

I don't get it. If they were atheist, what would they preach about?? And I've yet to hear of a Christian claiming that atheists were trampling on their right to free speech. Not to be rude, but what the hell are you talking about? You make no sense. And that's why we call it America. 'Cause you can express your opinion. People died for us just to preserve that right, so that whoever wanted to stand on a street corner and say whatever they wanted, could do exactly just that, whether they agreed with what they said or not.
Oh yeah, Veteran's Day is coming up, by the way. And your point is???? Check it out. See, that's why American ends in "I CAN." Because so many people died for us so that we could say that, and do that. In America, I CAN! So once again, what the heck is your point? Preaching on a street corner? Yo man, ever been to LA?

Where in the Bible did Christians harm non-Christians? If none, as there are none, then Christians today neither have commandment nor example to harm atheists or anyone else that chooses to be wrong. Therefore, true Christians would not harm an atheist just because they do not believe in God. However, many Christians would pity them for their BLIND FAITH.

God gives us the choice to be wrong, but after we die we are held accountable for our choices.

Brendon: you have unwittingly discovered one of the biggest mis-uses of the Bible -- taking scripture out of context. The text of 2 Chronicles that you referenced is about the Jewish king Asa coming to power and wanting to cleanse Jerusalem of non-believers. Unlike the USA, ancient Israel was a religious-state. Their laws were given to them by God.

A more interesting question for you and reereecre... is -- How many Christians do you think were in the Old Testament? Hmm.... perhaps a word-study on the definition of Christian would help.

Like I said God lets you choose what you want to believe, but if I were you I would look at all of the evidence and really think about it before making decisions that have repercussions that can last FOREVER.

Ummm... no, I have actually run into a couple of atheists preaching on the street- they were more on a political tangent but they made their views known- some stopped and listened, some just walked on by- no one was rude or assaulted them in any way.
I have seen MANY different opinions, religious and political, from one end of the spectrum to the other, gay straight, some that were even aggressive and rude in their delivery- I have never seen violence and the rudest I have ever seen is someone giving the 'preacher' a dirty look.

No you are so very wrong, The true Christian LOL! Would pray for this guy/girl and sooner or later the so called Atheist will be singing Praises to the Almighty God, when He realises it is not what manthinks or says that is the truth, but What proceeds from the very Mouth of God. He just Loves and Loves and Loves.
Remember no matter what God is God, and it does not matter what man has to say or do or think or announce, this does not change the truth at all and God works in many miraculous ways so far beyond our way of thinking, I will not be able to stop telling you of the marvelous things He has done for me once I start and this goes for many Christians. Go to the true believer and they will all tell you the same story or similar ones. When you do ask them - think of this = I don't even live in your country LOL!!!

Not a damned thing would happen because the ACLU would stop anything bad from happening to him and sue anyone that even thought of violating his 1st Amendement rights, but they would sue the **** out of a Christian on the other side of the street for preaching his religion the same way and call it violating the first amendement rights of others, and mixing church and state. Cause thats America, as Ozzy Osbourne said in his song Crazy Train said "One person condition to rule and control, the media sells it, and we live the role".

"Where in the Bible did Christians harm non-Christians?"
That's a joke, right? Or is the Old Testament no longer a part of the "Christian" bible?

"Therefore, true Christians would not harm an atheist just because they do not believe in God. However, many Christians would pity them for their BLIND FAITH." Blind faith is what CHRISTIANS have, not atheists. You all believe something you read in a book, not something you have seen with your own eyes! That's why it's called BLIND FAITH!
And you call yourself a Christian?? You can't even get the basic stuff right!! My word.

God has been kicked out of school, but Darwin hasn't! They are both only "theory" scientifically, why is one allowed over the other? you tell me. Why aren't my children allowed to talk about Jesus' birthday at Christmas in school? They are hushed by the teachers. If they want to pray at their lunch they are required to do it silently. As a christian parent, I haven't seen a lot of free speech! I've read a lot of questions on this web sight and the "non-Christians" seem so angry and hateful. You are hypothesizing, I am telling you laws, and real events.

Nothing. Everybody has freedom of speech in this country.
But then if you are obnoxious, you are inviting trouble even if you preach of other topics.
One more thing, majority rules in this country, you atheists are imposing your will on us thru the ACLU, just like the removal of prayers in school, the removal of God in our establishments. You have plenty of BS. You don't respect the rights of the majority. You behave as if civilzation owes you and you should rule. Excuse me. Have some shame and consideration. We respect your
twisted beliefs, and so, you should respect ours also.

Nothing more then would happen to a Christian. We have the right to express our beliefs where ever, and when ever we choose. Can you say the same for your country? I live in the good old U.S.A., isn't it strange how we see things differently?

I don't think so --- I've heard atheists who have been speaking on the streets and some people did shout or curse no one physically attacked them (no one wants to be sued)... most people just kept walking..... just like they do when a preacher is doing open air sermons.
