Depends if you beleive in one hon. In my personal view. He can be. But then agin. My relgion is ify if there is one. But the thing is Spirits love to joke around. Thus could be taken as "god" playing aorund. So this could mean a lot of things. There are some spirits that LOVe to play jokes on peopel as there are others that try to stop the joker spirits. So you got to ask yopu self what do you really beleive

No where in the Bible does it mention that God was a practical joker. When God talks about watching over His flock he is referring to the ones who have accept His son as savior. My sheep will know my voice and I will call them by name. Please read John10:1-18. This may help answer your question.

The Bible tells us a number of story's of how we slowly moved away from God's personal care. Cain being the big one when we where given the freedom to choose between good or evil. And boy have we!!!!!!! Look what WE'VE done to our world. The world God gave us was perfect, what it has become is our doing and it will continue it's roller coaster ride to hell until we accept responsibility, stop blaming the man upstairs and do something about it. Praying for help and guidance would tickle him pink. Samantha's Mom.

God is definately a He, although in Heven we won't have sex (by the way). He is definately watching over everyone and moreso than we would think = The Bible tells us that one person is worth more than 2 sparrows - the Bible tells us also that God knows the exact amount of hairs on one's head, now think further not only on one head, but all the heads of hair in the whole world, He is even aware of it when one grows a hair and when one looses a hair = again all the heads of hair in the whole world. We are in this screwed up world, because He in His undying love for us is giving More and More people a chance to accept Christ into their lives - ie we are living in a time of Grace, cause it is only by Grace that we can get to Heaven

God is pure and holy.
I believe He has a sense of humor; but He is not a practical joker.
God really is watching over everything.
"Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?" (Luke 12:6)
"But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."
(Luke 12:6)
You can blame Satan and our sin nature for the state of the world today. Cheer up, my friend, for one day all will be made perfect.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

Some parents try their best to keep their children from making mistakes. Sometimes you just have to let them touch the hot stove so they will know they get burned (slightly, at least).

God tried His best in keeping his creation from making mistakes ... and yet not make them just "robots". Seems like the rebellious teenagers, His creation has so often said they want to do it "their way"; that they know better than He does. So perhaps He has decided to let people show just how much of a mess they will get this world into ... though He has given the assurance He will intervene to keep His creation from being totally destroyed.

hmmm i do not really think of God as a joker. But my beliefs are somewhat unorthodox. I think of a God as a source of inspiration, a perception maybe. A rock to go to for help, an invisible, not real, friend sort of. I wouldn't say i am atheist though. i think enough ppl believe in him that it sort of like he is there. ok...so i sound like an idiot. i cant explain it. but i think it is human nature to do the horrible things we do, so no i do not think that god is up there playing dumb jokes on us! hee hee...interesting question though

i'm with you, kingreef. i also think that everything we see and experience in life is because we live in the post-curse world. as soon as mankind committed the one and only sin that they could have committed, everything became cursed, and ever since then, nothing has been the way God intended it to be.

''so you're saying there are things God can't do, mike?'' uh, yeah. He can't lie, and can't tolerate sin...He can't go against His own character. for Him to have done anything less in reaction to that first sin would have been a violation of His character.
