I'm not trying to debunk any religion that observes Saturday as the day of worship. I need to know if the Saturday today is the same Saturday as before -- I also read an article (I couldnt find that article now) that today's Wednesday is the Saturday most Hebrews observed in the Old Testament - Is this true? I need references. Serious answers please.

In the days of David, it was mentioned about what was the true Sabbath..the Sabbath was recognized by the cycle of the moon, so some weeks didn't have a Sabbath.
Then in during Constantine's rule, it became different days, to coincide with marketing..Unless you observe Sabbath by the moon cycles, you aren't honoring the original Sabbath...So, it does;t; really matter which day it is observed, but a Day dedicated to the Lord.
Here is the Lunar Sabbath calendar> http://www.lunarsabbath.com/.

That's a good question, and many people wonder the same thing.

You know the Sabbath day was created by God in Creation, and it's the Fourth Commandment of God's Law (see Exodus 20:8-11).

Though the Law was given to humanity and not only to Israel, the two tables of the Law were given to them because they were God's chosen people back then. They were the ones in charge to spread the Gospel.

Jews still keep the Sabbath today. Even though they were separated because of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.C., they kept observing the Sabbath even during their exile. You know, it could be that one Jew may have forgotten when the Sabbath day was, but not a whole nation. The Jews everywhere keep the Sabbath on the Seventh day.

"The Calendar has been changed

The calendar has not been changed so as to confuse the days of the week. We can be positive that our seventh day is the same day Jesus observed when He was here. Pope Gregory XIII did make a calendar change in 1582, but it did not interfere with the weekly cycle. Our present Gregorian calendar was named after him when he made that small change in 1582.

What did Pope Gregory do to the calendar? Before 1582 the Julian calendar had been in effect, instituted by Julius Ceasar about 46 B.C. and named after him. But the Julian calendar had calculated the length of the year as 365 1/4 days, and the year is actually eleven minutes less than 365 1/4 days. Those eleven minutes accumulated, and by 1582 the numbering of the calendar was ten days out of harmony with the solar system. Gregory simply dropped those ten days out of the numbering of the calendar. It was Thursday, October 4, 1582, and the next day, Friday, should have been October 5. But Gregory made it October 15 instead, dropping exactly ten days to bring the calendar back into harmony with the heavenly bodies.

Were the days of the week confused? No. Friday still followed Thursday, and Saturday still followed Friday. The same seventh day remained, and the weekly cycle was not disturbed in the least. When we keep the seventh day on Saturday, we are observing the same day Jesus kept, and He did it every week according to Luke 4:16." (http://www.sabbathtruth.com/sabbath_questions.asp#3)

You may research in a encyclopedia, or on the internet, and you'll realize that our week hasn't changed. Even scientists support that.

What count as the Sabbath Day is the 7th day of the week. Sunday in the early traditions was the first day of the week. Giving homage to the sun as the day that could be a good day to celebrate as the first day in relation to the first great word of God "Let There be Light". As it is still being normally printed in the Gregorian Calendar we have every year, Sunday, though it is always printed in red still is presented like it is the first day of the every week.
Whoever made an information to you that it falls on a Wednesday is another great deceiver of the world making their own religion trying really go away from the real Jewish tradition. Catholics were successful in moving it to Sunday paying homage to the risen Lord and Muslims are able to go against the tradition by making theirs on a Friday. Most of their writings on the Qur'an was based from the first five Books of Torah. A reason why most of the countries influenced by these two religions are ganging up on the Jews to totally annihilate them so that the Book where they took all the basis of their religions will be all gone from the Jews and be able to make a claim that they have written it themselves. If what you have found may have the truth, maybe ther is also a possibility that it coincided with the additions made on the monthly calendar. I understand there were only ten months in a year until they added July and August as homages to two Roman Powerful Leaders. Romans really have many things to do with the changes that makes our lives miserable today. While we are greatly awed with respect to their culture and advancements, I believe they are the wonders that make us wonder why the world is in great distress today. No offense meant to the present Romans but only to those who planted the seed in the early days of their greatness.

its next to impossible that the day that was the original sabbath is Wednesday.

the reason I say this is because the Jews have been keeping the Sabbath for over 4,000 years with the last 2,500 years in many different places all over the globe the odds of every single group being wrong are slimmer than a meteorite landing on your house in the next hour.

A quote from the US Naval Observatory

"We have had occasion to investigate the results of the works of specialists in chronology and we have never found one of them that has ever had the slightest doubt about the continuity of the weekly cycle since long before the Christian era."

"There has been no change in our calender in past centuries that has affected the cycle of the week"

The Royal Observatory also confirms this.

SORRY YOU ARE WRONG..
COL 2:16 jUDGE NOT ONE IS RESPECT TO HOLY DAY.

WOULD BE NICE IF YOU KNEW JUST A LITTLE ABOUT SCRIPTURE.

IN ADDTION NO ONE REALLY KNOWS THE EXACT DATE..
WITH CHANGES IN CALENDER AND LEAP YEARS ECT..
SO GO MADE ALL DAYS AND SABBATH MEANS REST..
SO WHATEVER DAY YOU FIND REST IN GOD DO SO.

I FIND 7 DAYS AND THANK YOU FOR CHANCE TO CLARIFY THIS POINT.
