That's no problem. She's just a vocal cat. If she doesn't cower from your touch, it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't like it. She's just acknowledging you. It's her personality.

if you're petting her on her back she might have some kind of problem, be gentle and see if there is a certain spot that is being irritated by you petting her. then if you can find the problem you should probably take her to a vet to make sure there is no terminal damage.

it really all depends on the way she meows. if it's a louder deeper meow she may be coming in. a quieter meow she's probably just showing affection.

I have a vocal calico and she meows every time we pet her. I dont think there is anything wrong...just her saying "thanks...it feels good"

if she doesnt meow like shes in pain, then thats wat cats do. they meow wen their hungry, they meow for the heck of it, cats meow. one of my cats meow every time he wakes up, for a little good morning meow

she is just letting you know that she trusts you so you can go ahead and pat her if she did not trust you she would hiss at you and run away just pat and play with her ,she will be your friend for life ...
