Disregard what the others said. By the simple fact you listed your amps power as - 1000w amp(2ohms:700w,4ohms:500w) - it's easy to see that you have a mono amp, but I'll need the model. Now as far as the subs you'd have to give me the model off the back, also tell me if they are DVC or SVC and what the ohms is. To do this, look at the back of the subs and check if there is just one set of connections or two, then you'll need to get a multimeter and check the ohms on the subs if you know how. If not take them to Circuit City or Best Buy or even a local shop and they should be able to meter them out for you. Meter them both just take make sure that they aren't blown. Also, I'll need to know the model of your deck. Once you've supplied me with this, then it may be possible to answer your question, but without this information any answers are just guesses, because it would be impossible to answer without know this. So to give you an answer is just foolish and could possibly lead to you messing up your subs or amp or both. Email me back with the info if you can get it and I'll gladly try to assist you. You may also want to pass the information along to Sparky, between the two of us I'm sure we'd be able to get everything straight for you.

First, don't monkey around with the gains, you'll wind up blowing a sub or two. The gains need to match the RMS volts (or set a little higher) of the HU to prevent clipping.

But yes, we need more info on your setup (wiring configuration).

The model of the subs will help us determine the specs.

It may be as simple as a different wiring scheme or you may have to get different equipment.

bridge the amp if it's bridgeable, ie right speaker positve and left speaker negative to the speakers. Run the speakers in parallel both right + to the + of each speaker, and left - to the - of both speakers. This will give you at min. a 2 ohm load if you have 4 ohm speakers, and 4 ohms if you have 8 ohms speakers making your amp push out the most power. Then you can mess with your gains to adjust your bass.
