no , not at all

in fact , the microwave oven dies NOT use ( electromagnetic ) waves onto food , the concept is really simple ..
U see .. the MW oven produces waves that has wave length similar to the water molecule length , therefor there would be what is called , resonance .
so , due to resonance , the water molecule starts to shake and then gets frictioned by the other shaking water molecules that surround it
and due to this friction , heat is generated !

try to but something that has no water AT ALL in the MW oven , like a plate for example , U would see that it wouldn't be heated at all
so , long story short , there is nothing to be afraid of .
bon apette !!

No the food cooked in the microwave is not harmful for consumption. The EM Waves are useful in heating the desired food-stuff uniformly i.e. from all angles &directions. It also minimizes the loss of nutrients as is seen in other conventional methods of cooking.

If you take the food out, and stop the microwave, the waves can't affect you.
So, don't eat while inside an operating microwave. (That's why the mice blow up)
