That really pisses me off, it's none of their business. But I always answer ' because I haven't found the right one yet.' Sheesh!

You could answer in any number of ways. I love some of the more nasty answer suggestions contributed here. I especially like the one when the gal said 'if I ever find Mr. Hopefully-not-too-much-wrong-with-him,' (as opposed to Mr. Right. Very realistic albeit slightly jaded attitude that had me rolling on the floor. A classic!

Anyway, that's neither here nor there, off the point, has nothing to do with the question, not what you're talking about, and so forth. When people asked me this question I thought they were very crude. But I gave the same answer as you. Not sure if I realized I wasn't being completely truthful at the time, but since then have come to realize that my authentic answer, had I been in touch with myself at the time, would have been 'because I'm not ready yet.' And I wasn't. Also, I hadn't looked. And that's something you have to do also.

Well, not to belabor the point. You got some great answers here, from the sublime to the ridiculous and I hope you'll use one or more of them that you're most comfortable with since you're not comfortable anymore using the 'old standard.'

Good luck. I'd be curious to see which you end up picking as 'best answer.' I always have a tough time with that when there are several deserving of that title.

Don't let it piss you off. Just say whatever comes to mind, the crazier the better like:

1. I'm waiting until they have a cure for my social disease
2. I am trying to beat the Guinness Book of World records for how many women (or men) I can screw before I get married.
3. I'm too busy having fun with my married friends' wives (or husbands)
4. I'm trying to find someone who can love a person with only 2 toes and prosthetic genitalia.

"I haven't found the right one yet" is a very good answer, and an honest one. I also use that answer, because it's the truth (or if I have, I'm not aware of it yet!)! I would also add that when I find someone I really want to be with, and he really wants to be with me, then I'll marry him! Never go by someone else's timetable...only you can know when it's right.

Next time some one asks you that inane question:

Smile Wickedly

Say : “Why get married and make one man miserable when I can stay single and make thousands miserable?”

Giggle because it will take them a few minutes to process what you have said.

However be ready for the rejoinder because it always comes.

You know what your right, that once in a time special person just hasnt come around yet, and other times, when guys ask you that, its because they think they might have a chance with you.

Sincerely,

It can be annoying. I usually either poke them in the eye with my finger or tell them that I haven't met a man with 12 inches, a huge bank account and a fetish for letting women spend it yet.
