I keep seeing these Questions "Why does God allow sin" "Why does God allow murder" I wonder if the people who ask would rather have free will to make their own choices for their life, or prefer to put an end to sin, by giving up their free will, and be forced to live the way God would tell them too,. You can have it both ways. With free will, there will be people who CHOOSE to sin, without it, everyones choices would be made for them. GOD does not allow, people choose. You really want him stepping in all the time telling you what to do?

Well said...Those questions are very annoying and if they would put a little, just a little, thought into what they were asking they would see the illogic in asking such a question, but I guess asking some Atheists to be well-reasoned is asking far too much of them.

Why does god allow free will?
What is the point? What is so special about free will. If he really wants us to choose not to sin, would we really know the difference if we didn't have free will, having nothing to compare to?
Why does he make so many things sinful and offer so much temptation to man?
Why couldn't he have given man free will, but made the sins things that weren't pleasurable?

Or maybe, there is no such thing as god, and these are all just pointless rhetorical questions.....

I think it can be an honest question...if the person asking it is truly in a quandry about how God can be good, loving and merciful, which the bible says He is....and then how such dreadful things can happen on earth.

There are people who ask it just to tweak others' noses, you're right about that!

God created us with freewill. The preference would be to use our freewill to live the way he would choose us to.

It's not a matter of it being one way or the other.

It's a matter of how many people will choose to live peacefully and in harmony with each other and nature.

The Higher Power doesn't interrupt our lives....he/she/it simply allows us to be, whomever we choose to be at each moment. The hope/faith/love of God...is that we will choose to unite as a human race and refuse to harm others.

I too am a little irritated with such idiotic questions and my response to why people ask them is not going to be as nice as yours. So, I think that God allows these questions to be asked because it is His only way to allow the inquirers to be themselves and to look, act and sound like ill-bred asses!

You misunderstand what God has given you, that no other creature in creation has. Free will to choose how you want to live your life, free will to accept or reject His word for your life. You are in error that God does not allow you to chose. He does not step in all the time and tell me what to do. You are mistaken.

Why can't you explain this way to them.
All the sins will not be controlled or obstructed by Him as long as the person himself seeks His help to stop him from doing sins. The sin doers never seek His help.
"The door will open only for those who knock."

They want baby sitting. They want a parent. Someone gives them a gift, they break it, and then scream because the giver doesn't fix it for them.

Goodness sake, what nonsense! Even if God doesn't exist, it's still awfully silly!
