I personally love Windsor Pilates and found that it really tones your core muscles like abs, obliques, glutes and thighs. You only have to do it a couple of times a week for it to really do some good. If you have a bad neck or lower back, though, some of the exercises can strain it and cause a lot of pain...I have had to cut back due to a bad back.

YES, YES, YES, pilates is a wonderful way to get muscle tone. Look for DVDs by Ellen Barrett. She is great and has a wide variety of pilates level exercises too. Everything from beginner to cardio/pilates.

excellent to tone and strengthen the body and easy on the back, a low impact program similar to yoga. if you add in power walking the results are tremendous. i have been doing pilates for years and read one time that many of the hollywood stars use it to stay in shape but to get back into shape after having children etc.

I love Pilates. I do it at home every once in awhile. It is a very hard work out I think. I am more flexible because of it and I have a stronger stomach. You should do it! :)

I hate exercise but I absolutely love Pilate's...also Yogalates is great too. And if you keep at it you notice the difference almost immediately. Try it...You'll love it!

i hate working out but pilaties is ok. its a little more active than yoga, but has a lot of the stretching elements that yoga does plus a lot of extra things. i personally like yoga better.

I love pilaties but you may want to rent before you buy because i find that certain workouts are better than others.
