an inspection of your property to see a proper mew and space for the bird and background knowledge of said bird is required by department of wildlife to obtain a federal permit for any raptor, some states also require state permits

yes, you must have a special license and very few are allowed to keep raptors. im sure someone over 21 must live in the house, you need a state and likely federal license, an approved cage, usually outdoors fenced sides and top, and a nesting type box, and you need to buy day old chicks and mice and such for them. i doubt you will get the license but start by calling your local fish and game warden.

You need a falconry license as well as a hunting license if you intend to hunt with it.

I haven't been able to locate anything specific yet about where to apply for a license to keep birds of prey, but I'll keep looking and edit this post.

Most people who keep birds of prey do not feed chicks. They either feed frozen mice which they defrost and gut, or they feed ground horsemeat.

Your local police department is the best place for this information due to city guidelines the wrong information could land you in jail. I live in Mass and in my neighbor hood I can have snakes but if you go to the top of my street the snakes are not allowed by city law. It all depends how your erea is is labeled as a residential or commercial, bussiness, etc. Please check your local and state laws the police department is the best place to get this kind of info.

I don't know anyplace where you don't have to be licensed to keep birds of prey. This usually requires, at the minimum, some
education and training. Then, you have to pass a test. You can get into a lot of trouble if you break those rules.
