We dated for about two years in college, but we broke up OVER 5 years ago, and the last time I talked to him was 2 years ago.

But then I saw him at our mutual friend's wedding last weekend, and all of the sudden all my old feelings rushed back to me. I felt all the love and heartbreak all over again, as if it was just yesterday that we broke up. This came as a COMPLETE SURPRISE, because I have a boyfriend whom I thought I was totally in love with! And I thought I was completely over my ex!

What the heck? Is this normal??

It's normal for the feelings to rush back like that. It doesn't mean you love your boyfriend any less. You're just still hurt from the break-up. Sounds like there wasn't really any closure. It's not that you're not over him necessarily, but you may have some unresolved issues. If you got over it once, you can do it again. You seem to be over him but not the break-up. Just try to let it slip out of your mind, or if there are any unresolved issues, try to work them out. Soon you'll be back to the way you were before last weekend.

Somtimes meeting up with old Flames again brings back that tingle in your stomache! I know when I see my exes I get that weird feeling, honestly there's nothing wrong with it! Youre human and it's only natural but I dont think this has anything to do with you loving or not loving your boyfriend. Think of it as just somebody new to look foward to everyday!
