Yes sometimes ther is just not enough shade, so better to apply a sunscreen lotion before you go out!!

You can get burnt under an umbrella. I just did in Bali. The sun reflects off the sand and also the canvas (of the umbrella)was really thin and I burnt my face. Even though I was under the shade all the time.

I think you can still get burnt in the shade
don't know how though!!
but that area you are talking about may be ok if the sun is fully blocked

yes you can. not as likely but you can. it's all about the UV they come from the sun and hit off other things and still some how get to you . but your fine dont filp out and never leave your house . the sun is good for you too.

The same way someone tans on a cloudy day - ultraviolet rays from the sun that can penetrate any thing.

if the sun light reflects from any surface u may get burns.

if the sun reflects off concrete or a pool or soemthing, yes. just wear sunscreen, its not hard.
