Hi Ruler: If you face a contradiction, check your premises, you will find one is wrong.

I think God wants us to figure out how to live peacefully and properously, or maybe, he wants to see if we, his creation, are capable of it. No one knows. However, free will is important, thus, he probably stays hands off. He clearly states to watch over, never harm, and protect the little ones.

I like your avatar too.

In what sense? God judged some children in the past due to their parents. Soddom and Gemorrah and the world during Noah, children were destroyed and judged like their parents.

If you're talking about something happening now, people are the ones killing children not God? Why has he not stopped it, he will in due time. False religion will go down and God will rise and defend the one true religion when it is attacked by the governments of the world.

He doesn't. He allows humans to learn for themselves that they are not capable to rule themselves. When they learn that lesson, things will change. As for murdering children, since most Christians believe they go to heaven, doesn't that mean the person is doing the children a favor?

Why do people expect God to babysit them? Why do you allow the murder of children? What are you doing about it? Goodness sake!
God didn't create the world and then expect to micromanage every part of it. He certainly didn't expect to have a group of whining as people screw up their world and then ask God why he let them mess themselves over.
We mess up the world, and it's God's fault for not stepping in a stopping us?

Do you really consider yourself in need of someone to babysit you that way? Is that your full understanding of God, that he must or HE is bad?

What nonsense!

We don't know His reasons because we cannot question God, but I believe that it was not as punishment. God allows people to have free will, and some people kill others. We don't know why people do this or why God allows this, but I belive that when a person dies, no matter how soon or how horribly, it was that person's time to go. We cannot decide when or how we die. I also believe that when people die then we are put through tests to see if we will still go to Him for help. I'm not saying that God kils to put us through tests. All I'm saying is that I know when someone dies, God meant for it to happen. And when someone dies, it serves as a test to se if we are strong/sincere in our beliefs.

God has His own chosen people. The Bible clearly states that God loves, and God hates with this verse. Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated. (not exact words, but God did love Jacob, and He hated Esau) So no, it's not doing to child a favor. xD

And like I said before, when someone dies, it is their TIME to die.
God allows man to have free will. If a man chooses to kill, they WILL pay for it in due time, but until then we must forgive them (yes. the bible says to forgive) and trust in God. That's why most Christians aren't afraid of death because we know it's our time to go when we go.

Sorry about the babies, man was a bad idea seems to me but for some reason He just keeps us living for the life of me it is one question I have not got a clue on, but admittedly I do not know everything. Did I tell you one time I heard this guy hollering "it hurts it hurts" over and over and it kept getting louder and louder and I thought wish someone would help him, and then pop I was on a gurney roling down the hall going back to my room, and I heard half of one last it hur and then I realized it was me and actually it did not hurt all that bad.

I think often we separate from our bodies when something truly hurty happens, and I think that happens with Babies, just in case that might make you feel better.

Whats with all the "allow" stuff. Its called free will, sinners who choose to murder, commit a sin, and a criminal act. Gee. People are all mad cause God doesnt stop things, but would be more angry if he forced people wo behave the way HE wants them too. You cant have it both ways.

It's called FREE WILL, we all have it. And all of us do things that displease God. Some things in our eyes seem worse that others. But just think how boreing the world would be is YOU wern't alowed to SIN. There probebly wouldn't be any TV or Rock and Roll, or Rap. Or premarital sex. All are sins acording to the Bible. Well not all TV, Rock or Rap, but a lot of it.

The easy answer is because god doesn't exist. :)

The harder question is why people allow, to some extent, the murder of children...

*Edit* I think a lot of the answers below are funny -- people rushing to defend an all-powerful being. Look, it's been known a LONG time that the idea of free will and an all-powerful god are mutually incompatible. Go read some of the 14th century writings on this topic. Trying to uphold the two simultaneously is like saying something is a square circle.

Fact: If an all-powerful god exists, then the world, with all its murderers, rapists, death and destruction, is PRECISELY the way god wants it to be right now. Why? Because if he wanted it any other way, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY STOP IT FROM BECOMING THAT WAY?! That's what all-powerful means. It's almost absurd to think that me -- a lowly 6 ft tall human on a speck of rock in this supposedly god-made universe that stretches farther than my imagination allows me to comprehend -- it's silly to think that I could somehow frustrate an all-powerful being in any way whatsoever. That god snaps his fingers and says "Oh! You got me! You slipped that baby-murder right under my omniscient nose."

Yeah right. Grow up people. There is no sky daddy. Square-circles do not exist. (And I don't need to search the entire universe to be confident in saying that)

God doesn't allow it to happen, humans do. Contrary to what a lot of people think christian or otherwise, God doesn't interfere in anything that we do, he gave us free will to do as we please. The whole point of us being on Earth is so that God can prove the devil wrong. The devil thought he had a better plan for us, and God is letting him have his time, but soon it will end.
