i'm trying to decide which cereals to buy, which ones do you recommend....healthwise and taste.

Read the list of ingredients . Saturated fat also spells trouble. In a world of packaged food you can't steer away from all this unhealthy stuff. I suggest you go in for items that have very little trans or saturated fats - say 2- 3 % . That should help.
Counter the side effects by having a lot of water, soya products, lean meat, nuts, apples, other fresh fruits and vegetables, salmon, tuna sardines, mackerals.Use olive or cannola oil for cooking.

Hope your question is not motivated by the fear for trans fats. There is a lot of literature out there about trans fats, some good, other bad. All what I would like to advise you is to make personal and independent decisons about what to eat and what not to eat. There is no better thing than exercising these freedoms.
