red packet for chinese wedding - must it be red? can it be in gold?

yeah it has to be red. its traditional. if its gold, its not like its a sin but it might be kinda weird.

As a chinese tradition, you need a red pocket with golden chinese figures in it. It has a background, and they are called "leisy"
