Absolutely NOT. You can always sell that ring and buy a new one, but no woman wants to be considered 2nd choice and the ring would always stand as such. She deserves her own ring doesn't she?

Honestly, I don't think you should use the same ring, it may remind you of the other girl whenever you look at it. With a new relationship should come a new ring that "fits" her. Jewelry is personal, so sell the other ring & get something special for the girl you are going to marry! I think it would be tacky & a slight bit cheap to give her the first ring. Good luck, I hope she says YES!

no. however, i can understand if you were unable to sell the old ring and buy a new one. so you can give it to her but you can NEVER let her know that you had the ring months before you ever met her. the problem is that the ring choice is usually inspired by the woman you are with. that ring was chosen b/c it was inspired by your feelings for, and knowledge of, what the first girl likes. do you know if this is even the kind of ring your new girl would like?

I wouldn't use the same ring. However, you could consider recyling the components. Have the diamond taken out and recut if you want a different shape (split into a three diamond setting) or reset if you like the shape; melt down the setting and have it recast in a different style. Designing it yourself would be a nice touch. Good luck.

Wow, that is so tacky! I can't even believe you have to ask that! No woman I know would want a ring that was intended for a previous girlfriend. It's like saying she is second best or all she is worth is a hand me down! I personally wouldn't even marry a guy if I found out that he was considering giving me his ex's ring!

no longer all women persons have the comparable flavor, you recognize. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, maximum women persons do desire a solitaire for an engagement ring so confirm the lady who would be donning this ring will love a three-stone ring it is traditionally reserved as an anniversary ring. for my area, I do in basic terms unlike a three-stone ring for popular positioned on and it does no longer be my decision.

I say it's okay, it's just a friggin piece of jewelry.
The important thing - here is your lesson - marriage is a huge decision that should be discussed before you just "pop the question". And don't blow your money on a ring until you know for damn sure that the answer is YES!

good question, i think you will get various answers on this one but when all is said and done all that matters is how YOU feel about giving it to her. if you bought the first one for your ex then maybe just go to that jewerly store and exchange it for soemthing else. if you DIDNT buy it for ur ex then use it, just depends on how YOU feel. your current girlfriend will never know unless you tell her, or someone else tells her, use ur own judgement here and good luck
