They come here because they can make 3-4 times the money mopping floors here than they can busting their a&& doing farming, construction, whatever back home. If you could live in a nicer place, and make a lot more money, would you think about going for it?

If someone wants to come to the USA legally since 9-11 there is virtually no way to do it. That doesn't give them the right to come over, just saying that there is no way to do it legally.

We should seal off the boarders, then have a rational way that people can move here within a reasonable amount of time if they meet the standards (whatver they might be). Right now, neither of those things are in place.

You go girl, I have noticed you lately. GREAT stuff! To be honest, I don't think illegals think about anything but themselves. They will come up with many reasons to try to justify their illegal activity. The main reason illegals are breaking the law is greed, pure and simple. They want to bring the mexican sense of lawlessness to America. I am very happy with the progress that has been made by of those opposed to illegal immigration. Their one time ally ( President Bush) is even starting to crank up the heat on them. These are some great days for America and a great start to restoring some morality and a stand against blatant dis-reguard for Americas sovereignty.

They break our laws because they can, Our weak PC government allows it. The government forces us to educate them and give them medical treatment. The government gives them food stamps and when they feel that they are not giving enough away they advertise on Spanish speaking radio.
When border patrol agents try to do their jobs our government tracks down drug smugglers, grants them immunity to testify against them. What is the consequence for breaking the law? Absolutely no consequence whatsoever. What is the reward?? Plenty. To answer your questions:

You sound like a person that has never met or spoken to an illegal alien. if you got to know one, you're feelings would probably be much different. I know quite a few and they:
1. Appreciate america far more than americans do.
2. Are willing to work much harder than americans are.
3. Don't expect anything in return except an honest day's wage for an honest day's work. (something that used to be an american value)

I did meet one once that was trying to 'take advantage of the system', but she was by far the exception rather than the rule.

er... and relative to them, you are rich. For instance... you have a computer, electricity, an internet connection, etc.

South American illegal immigrants abandon $34 BILLION every year in taxes, SSI, and revenues that they cannot collect... just to give you an idea about how poor they are.

Did you count on the government to remind you of this?

I recommend everybody studies this immigration issue looking for facts and not opinions for about 3 months before making up their mind about something they heard from the easter bunny...

I aint that rich either. But they know that we are not rich, they probably think that you are rich in their country. Cause tourists go to the illegal aliens countries and act like rich people, they buy everything and eat at the finest restaurants. So, they wanna do that, who wouldn't. You see all those rich people like paris hilton, so everyone wanna have her money and junk.

We have children born into poverty everyday in America.

We pay millions of dollars a year to Mexico to keep their heads above water, It's not like we don't help them at all.
