my girlfriend broke up with me four weeks ago, but like several days ago i asked her to be good friends again and she said yea. but everyone including myself thought that i should go for a double or nothing, like either get back with her or don't be friends with her at all. how should i ask? and don't say move on or whatever, because i'm 100% i wanna go all or nothing. i wanna know how exactly should i ask, and where and stuff. and what if she says no to getting back together, what should i say? thanks

well, basically, there'll be some things that you might want to consider.

1. all-or-nothing is depending on each person. it is true that all-or-nothing situation do have effect on people, especially for those whose been having relationships for years. some people, who broke up not in a good way, will start crying and nagging their partner to take them back, or keep asking why they end up broken, and it's definitely not helping people to go-on. so the all-or-nothing-at-all will helps a lot in this kind of situation.
2. if you don't have any feelings for your gf, and vice versa, there's nothing wrong with being friend with your ex. if you want it to be saver, take some time away from each other before you two actually get together again.
3. if you decided to take your word back, as to be all-or nothing, then these are things that you can do...

- make sure she's in good mood (you guys broke up in a nice way, i hope...)
- try talking the possibilities of you two get back together (preferably in a not-too-public places)
- never take assumption. just make sure you and her are talking in same definition of words and in same frequency.
- talk about things in a calm and cool-headed way, if things got heaten up, better stop immediately and talk again when things are calming down. Never Ever talk in loud voice. even if she started to talk loud, try not to.
- if she doesn't want to get back with you, calmly tell her thank you for being your girlfriend before, and thank her for brighten up your days. wish her for good things, and then just walkaway in a grace. don't shed a tear nor begging her to take u back.
- spent your time with your friends, but not in a club to hook up with girls. try reading or watching movies. detectives novel is usually good in those kind of situation. try sports and all, but no drinking coz who knows you might go babbling about her while you're drunk, and trust me-you don't want that.
- have fun in discovering yourself.

wish you all the best!

Consider: Why did she break up with you in the first place, and why do you think it will be different this time?

If you really think there's a good chance, then you have to just talk to her, straightforward, no BS, address the issue that caused the breakup and tell her truly how you feel. Tell her how much she means to you and be specific... what are the things you love and miss about her?

I would have felt the same way. Just tell her it's gotta be all or nothing and ask her what she wants. If she says no then you have no choice but to say good bye. In any case you don't want someone that doesn't want you.

Why don't you do this. You might not like it, but it will get your girlfriend back...Just say you were wrong and that she's really smart and that you respect her opinions. Then if it works, she will figure it out thinking she was wrong and that it was just a big misunderstanding.

It works all the time. Good Luck, I hope my crazy idea works ;-)
