Lately I've working out a lot to lose weight, and recently when I walk on the treadmill my thighs rub against each other and cause chaffing(sp?). I do wear shorts and understand that i might have to wear longer pants, but that's not the case cause I tried it.

What can I use as far as medication, ointments, etc. , to make it not irratate me so bad?

There is this product called Monistat Soothing Care and it is specially made for chaffing..I use it all the time and it works great! You can find it in Wal Mart or your local pharmacy. I would provide you a link but for some reason their website is down.I am providing you a link for Walgreens so you can read the details about the product. Good luck and best wishes.......

There are several different options. Something simple is baby powder or cornstarch before you workout and after you shower. Another thing is diaper rash cream of any kind. One thing I also use from rashes to cuts is a product called Bag Balm. It comes in a green tin and can be found at most any pharmacy or animal feed store. It was originally used for cows udders, however has been found to do wonders to most skin conditions. It does not smell pleasant so I would recommend using it before going to bed. Good luck.

The best trick...Anti perspirant/deodorant
It works the best for keeping chafing to a minimum. Just put it on your thighs before a work out just like you would under your arms.
Works great!

There is a product called 3B cream. It is very popular and works. I live in Oz and this cream is available in most pharmacies - I'm not sure if it's available in supermarkets. And, yes, longer shorts is also a solution.

Desitin original formula. It works overnight or sometimes in hours to correct the problem.
