Look at the brutality of the animal kingdom. It appears that humans have invented this idea called "sin".

Yes, bottlenose dolphins and chimpanzees recognize themselves in mirrors, so the separation between other animals and humans isn't so clear cut. Those animals display self awareness and appear to have a conscience.

Your own conscience tells you what is sin. Whatever you feal ashamed of. Tell me, would you be okay to allow someone else ( say your mother) to view your day to day thoughts, how about even your whole life.
Don't sound so sinless after all now do you?
Sin is anything that is wrong... when you ignore your own conscience, after a while, you are not sensitive to sin.
And when you refuse to believe that there is a "right" and a "wrong", it just gives you an excuse to keep on sinning.
YOU see the difference between animals and men is that men have self awareness- a soul, a complex brain, and a conscience, don't forget choice.
Animals just have instinct, They have no choice.
If you want to lower yourself to that of an animal, that's your choice....
Just don't spread your foolish backward darwinian thinking to mislead others.
Hitler chose to lower himself to that of an animal, is that what you want everyone to be? Souless? Serving every evil lust and whim?

Yes, it comes from building shelters for a gathering of humans, wherein each human owns things, and wants the best for the offspring of mated pairs of humans. So humans made an agreement of conduct while in these gatherings and for the care for offsprings. If any one breaks the agreement then they are sinning, and are to be punished as stated in the agreement.
It is an easy concept, but it gets tricky when the numbers get big, and human numbers get big fast. Where the numbers of humans are very small these agreements are easier to maintain.

Animals only do what they do to survive thus they have a hard time making decisions its all instinct. Humans have a mind power to do what is right and wrong. Most humans can see this Clear Line separating good from bad.

Sin is any action you do that doesn't love God first. Sin can be kissing or making love to your wife. Sin can even happen in prayer when we prayer for worldly things. Sin is any action that does not love others before we love ourselves.
Most Christians look at sin from an Old Testament point of view, and this is just plain wrong. The Old Testament was a set of rules that humans were bound to fail -- which is why Christ died for all of us. Sin now is more than just rules, it is about loving God and loving others.

One person's sin is another person's virtue. A sin can be anything believed a Sin, just as anything, including removing parts of another humans body as a trophy can be a virtue.

Sin is anything that displeases God, or goes against the Laws that He gave us. When He gave the 10 commandments He was trying to protect us from the pain and sorrows of this world.

Sin is going against the will of God. It is doing anything that does not glorify God. The bible says " For those that know to do good and do it not it is a sin" Sin is evil and of the devil. You are doing the devils will when you sin. He wants you to sin so you can be in Hell with him to burn forever and ever. Seek God and do his will.

Sin is something we do in disobedience to God's commandments. Animals kill for survival and food and not for pleasure. Anyway I do not think that God has commanded animals not to sin so they are in the clear. We cannot sin because we are created in the image and likeness of God. He wants us to behave like Him in righteousness.
