Have any engineers used Frobenius' method before?

I'm just wondering if any of you engineers have used Frobenius' method to solve an engineering problem before.

I'm a practicing engineer and we rarely solve differential equations by hand anymore especially when they involve infinite series. There are just too many good numerical routines out there that avoid computational errors and save time.

Never for work. Takes too much time and software can do it so much faster.
