Techically, Christianity adopted many of its customs and rituals from "pagan" religions. It was a technique used to convince non-Christians that Christianity had everything their religion did. It was also a way for the church to outlaw any religions besides Christianity.

Therefore- Christianity is a form of paganism, in a sense, and as such, there are billions of followers.

Assuming you mean modern self-identified neo-Pagans, you're probably looking at Wicca, which has in the range of 100,000-300,000, give or take. There's no real definate number for that, but that's a supposedly good guesstimate.
