True we see that the Israelites were backed up by God to protect their lineage to Jesus. But still no one has given any Biblical reference that Christians are allowed to go to war.

That will never happen. Since Jesus told us to love our enemies, he will not change and then tell us to go ahead and kill them. Only man does that.

Love is an identifying mark of true Christianity. A TRUE Christian will not go to war for ANY reason. None of the so-called Christian wars of the past were endorsed by Jesus.

How do you know that the war is "Jesus Approved", because the church says it is. There have been many wars where people on both sides are saying they are fighting for Jesus and/or God. Which side is more right, Jesus approved both sides for war righ. So you can't say a war is Jesus approved. Plus, Jesus seemed to me to be pretty peaceful, so now a new question is would Jesus ever approve of war.

No, to fight among others in the name of a diety would only defile the religion, and lead to viscious bloody wars. The crusades from way back when is clear evidence of whats to come when people start holy wars.

Since in Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus stated that the Old testament was valid and in force, and the Old testament (especially Deuteronomy) has pages and pages which justify war and violence against nonbelievers and evil doers, I'd say Jesus gave the go ahead as long as the act is to comply with Old Testament law.

Those scriptures make it very clear that Jesus does not want his disciples to engage in war. That would completely dis harmonize with the scriptures that you cited. There is no reconciling the two; although I am sure this wont stop people. Nice scriptures!

Yep! The original Jesus was a Liberal! I'll become a Republican when Jesus rides an elephant into Jerusalem!

Excellent quotes by the way...it perfectly explains the dreaded Liberal agenda, doesn't it? Straight from the Bible Thumpers own book!

(I don't know which Jesus it is that Bush worships but whatever it is, it's not the original! What part of THOU SHALT NOT KILL does King George not understand?)

But when the rules of the land conflict with the teachings of Jesus... which do you pick? You can't justify war with Christ.
