In an estimated four/five months I have managed to lose an estimated fifteen pounds. According some physicians my weight was thirty pounds over the recommended weight for a young woman my age. In the hopes of improving my health and decreasing the number of health problems that are reported to being experienced by individuals who are overweight I decreased the amounts of sugar, junk food, preservatives, and amount of sodium that I had been consuming; I increased the amount of fruit and vegetables that I consumed; and I added more activities to my exercise routine. It may sound like a lot, but its not.
My exercise routine is an estimated on 70 minutes. I do a ten minute exercise routine in the morning before I start my day. Than I walk for an hour at the end of the day.

Drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day, get 5-6 servings of fruit and veggie in aday and do some form of cardio for 20-30 minutes 3-4 times a week.If you decide to have something questionable just take a couple of bites you will be just as satisfied if you enjoy and savor those bites opposed to gulping the whole thing down without really tasting eat. You can chose what you want to eat, sometime that choice is at a later date

Find out what your suggested calorie intake is.
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/PED/content/PED_6_1x_Calorie_Calculator.asp
Stick to that and break your meals into 5 small meals a day.
Avoid refined sugars at all cost.
Exercise cardio, cardio, and more cardio.
Lift Light weights. You might get sore at first but do not lift to get sore just to tone.
Run, bike, swim have fun be active.
Do not starve yourself. if you do you will just gain the lost weight back and your body will start cannibalizing muscle.
Don't set goals that are unrealistic, that will just discourage you. You may loose 5 or 6 pounds in the first week or two and then 2 to 3 pounds each weel after.
Check your inches and if you start not loosing weight and gaining weight don't be discorraged. Remember muscle weighs more than fat.
Good luck and dont give up.

There are no diet tricks. It takes hard work and a smart lifestyle change. Try to eat every 2 to 3 hours, of course smartly. Include calorie burning exercises such as cardio and resistance training. Remember to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume. But also eat carbs, just eat the ones that will remain in your blood stream the longest. If you need to get a book on the glycemic index.

I lost a lot of weight by cutting out flour and sugar products. Did that for a year. Lost 70 lbs I excercise three times a week. I cheated on weekends. I'm not on that diet anymore, but I limit my flour and sugar to only one serving a day of either one, but not both. I have not gained a single pound back and it's been three years. Good luck!
P.S Start it after Halloween! Cheat on special occasions. (mealtimes are not special occasions, I was talking about holidays and stuff).

The best trick is to make a lifestyle change, instead of simply dieting. If you diet and lose the weight, but go back to what you were eating before, you'll gain it back. Making lifestyle changes that you can live with will keep the weight off permanently.

www.mypyramid.gov
it's the food pyramid and you can modify it to suit your lifestyle.
it works.. no gimmicks as you know already and though it's a slow process it is the best.
not only will the tons melt off eventually but stay off and you'll be in much better shape.
the only catch is moderate that fun food you can't seem to let go of.
and the updated food pyramid includes the suggested daily water intake and moderate exercise to suit you.
you need not starve nor exercise yourself into an early grave.
and you'll look better, feel better and probably outlive all your soon to be jealous friends.

reduce carbohydrates...they make fat. Actually a high carbohydrate diet will make a lot more fat than a high fatty diet. Eat more leaner cuts of meat and increase your protein..way too much fat puts you at risk for heart disease. But increasing protein and decreasing your carb's is sure fire.
