Lust is when you don't know the other person but you feen for them all the time. Love is when you've seen them through their best and worst and you still feen for them.

Spend some time apart and see if the feelings are still there. There is no time, or distance than can affect how much you love a person, but those two factors will definately cure lust!! Take the sex out of it, if your feelings are still strong, and you can be with that person without having to have sex with them, it is love.
Generally it is lust, because in all honsety only time can really tell.

You are in love when you enjoy being around that person and you really like their company and you care deeply for them. Lust is when you want them and keep on wanting stuff from them more and more. Basically, Love is care and Lust is want.

Lust is temporary and eventually fades, whereas love endures the test of time. You can still lust for someone whom you've loved for many years, but it's not at the same feverish pitch it was in the beginning.

You're in lust when you think about someone when your hormones are raging. You are in love when you think about someone all the time, when you wake up, before you go to bed and you want to spend all your free time with them. You're in love when you call someone for no reason. You're in lust when you call them at 2:30 in the morning.

Can you carry on a serious conversation?
Has he seen you with no make-up?
Do you hold hands?
Does he know your favorite book?
Do you know what size shoe he wears?
Does he play with your dog?
Has he picked up a box of tampons for you?
Has he held your hair back while you threw up?
Would he watch a chick-flick with you?
Would you watch a action-thriller with him?
Have you met each other's parents?
If you answered yes to all of these...
it's may not be love yet...but, it's more than lust.
