Walking is an excellent form of exercise. Don't feel bad that you can't run. Runners set themselves up for foot, knee and back problems. It's really over-rated. The way to lose weight with exercise is with a cardio workout. Brisk walking, riding a bike, dance, etc. are the way to go. You want to get your heart rate up and keep it up for 20-30 minutes at a time. Pumping your arms as you walk will help to get your heart rate up there. Being a heavier woman myself, it's very important to have good quality walking shoes with ample arch support. If not, your arches can begin to flatten and then you have a whole world of trouble.

Oh yeah. I lost 100 lbs walking every day. Just make sure that you're keeping up a good pace, and try to vary things now and then, incorporating hills or stairs, just so you're using different muscles. And be sure to follow a proper diet so those calories burned don't go to waste. You won't lose if you're still taking in more than you're burning.

"Just walking" is now being said to not be that great. Some people use a 10,000 step program to get their exercise. But you really need to get the pace up and/or walk uphill.

I use a treadmill with a set of built inprogras that are great 30 minute workouts.

But you might want to talk with your doctor first - make sure you're up to the exercise you're planning & they may be able to advise you better on what is an appropriate heart rate for your age & condition.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

Walking is ALWAYS healthy. You may not be able to run a marathon and the weight may not fly off you but its REALLY good for you to stay active. Walk with a friend! Its better that way.

yeah it sure is . just stick with the program you have going and cut the fat content of your diet drastically. you don't need very much for your diet to be balanced.
don't give up and keep on and it will come off in a little while very fast. and you will feel so much better! you won't believe it! the walking helps you get the chemicals you need in your brain to keep your mood upbeat also. sounds like you are on the way to a better life sugar!

I agree with everyone else. I would just add that an even better way to burn calories is swimming or water aerobics--it would be easier on your joints and provide more resistance than a simple walk.
