I had a hard time recovering from that movie. I saw it in the 4th grade and it took me until i was 15 to watch another horror movie. I'm 17 and saw the movie tonight. I let ya know how i feel in the morning if i can make it through the night. but i suggest you watching something funny before you go to bed or some type of funny sitcom too clear your mind of the movie. Read a book before bed. turn on the tv or sleep with the music on. Dead silence always makes my mind wonder. and if ur a christian say a little prayer. That helps!

***also when i was discussing the movie with a friend of mine on the phone one night i was home alone. It was storming out and as soon as i said "The exorcist" lightening struck and the lights flickered. Coinsidence or not???

It was a movie. It was a silly movie. It was a silly, retarded movie. It was exciting to watch though. Anyway try sleeping with someone. (I don't mean sex). Got a friend that could spend the night? A sibling? A pet? If none available then take some advil pm until you get over it. No more scary movies for you!

P.S. Get rid of your ouija board.

I was reading The book when I was in 6th grade (11 years old) I started to wake up with nightmares too. I never finished the book and never watched the movie either. Satan type stuff is extremely disturbing to me. To this day I cannot watch those programs called "haunting" because, if they are true, it's just too scary when it comes to Devil stuff!

Jeremy, I saw the movie when I was twelve in a drive in when I was twelve years old. I feel for you. That night, I was sleeping in a room with green lamps. Just when I was about to fall asleep, a black cat jumped on my chest. I kid you not. I eventually got over it when I found it was partial based on a true story. The real possession was in Germany and it was a boy not a girl. Many things were added to the book and movie for effect. Does that help?

That movie is very disturbing on many levels, I couldn't watch when I was a teenager. What is your question? To get to sleep, I would watch something more pleasant/visually stimulating to "erase" the memory. This may or may not work...
