I'm not a drama girl. I am very upfront about where someone stands with me and my feelings about them. But, what gets me is the fact that guys usually like 'the chase'. So, if we get to the point where we are 'talking' for awhile and I tell them where they stand - they lose interest or create the 'drama' themselves.

Does anyone have any tips for a happy medium?

Maybe just be more subtle... for example I've been hanging out with this guy a couple times a week for the last few weeks, I have started to really like him a lot but I prefer to let the guy take more of the initiative. This guy is kinda slow though ;) so after the last time I saw him, I dropped him an email to say thanks for lunch etc, and that I've really enjoyed all the time we've been hanging out together lately, it's rare that I'm actually interested in seeing someone this often and you're really fun to be around. I felt that would get the point across without being too forward, and he wrote back saying basically the same, that he has been enjoying it too and is always looking forward to the next time we can get together.

Baby steps. To me I don't call it "the chase" but just recognizing that it takes a certain amount of courage to take the chance of making a move and risking rejection. I like to know if a guy is interested enough in me, and confident enough in himself, to take that chance!
