Agreed!
I lean toward faith, but am constantly questioning and lately doubting. At the same time, I ask the question "how could this have happened by accident?" I've come to the conclusion that there must be something that planned this, and some force that continues to guide it despite the concept of hands-off free will theories. At the same time, no one; not even these high-browed pompous self appointed religious sages have even a clue as to what it really is, no matter how much they study the Bible or how much they search. They are promising what they aren't sure can or will be delivered and should be shut down. But then where would all the sheep of the world go for the guidelines they live their lives by?

You better believe you have a soul man.
You're like a car which is your body, and you the driver is the soul and this is your driving force. Without your soul you cannot function. You will be like a dead battery.
You came to this world for a specific reason and purpose. You did not come by accident or for no reason at all. You were given a brain and intellgence to be able to discern of what is right and what is wrong. You think you are very smart. You can't even control your own heartbeat. You can't even rest it at your own will while you go to sleep. You are so arrogant, you can't even defy the law of gravity for 30 seconds or put earth at a stand still and bring back the time even for a few seconds. What's the matter you do not have a navel? You do not have a mother?
Did you give life to yourself by popping out of the ground? Did you give life to yourself through a test tube.
Excuse me, but you are just another passenger on planet Earth, you cannot make your own itinerary and dictate to the captain and the navigator (the Creator) of this flying ship.
Don't you ever think you are invincible and do not owe anything to anyone. You are quite mistaken. Your arrogance and ingratitude will bring you down. You could die anytime without any warning. You better believe there is another level of existence after your life on Earth. You better qualify.
If you flunk your test in school you flunk, period.
If you had child who had been ungrateful to you inspite of all things you did for her or for him,
will you give him or her a reward?
You better look at yourself as an ungrateful child and change your ways.

I would assume so, any doubt would make one agnostic.
Atheism meaning no belief in a supreme deity, would imply that a follower would reject any concept of a supreme deity 100%.
Agnosticism meaning one believes in the possibility of a supreme deity but unclear as to the specifics of said deity would allow a follower to be skeptical of any specific religion or creed including atheism.
Note that an atheist could worship a deity or idol as long as it was universal or worldly in nature, such as a person, money, the world, etc.

You don't get it, do you? Atheists don't think God is real - you have to think something is real to believe in it.
I may not know anything more than a person of faith but I know that I don't know everything. I can accept, "I don't know" as the answer to where did the universe come from for right now.
How can not thinking something is real be cruel? Is your lack of belief in unicorns cruel?

Uh, well actually yes, we do know. See, faith is belief WITHOUT proof, and atheists have GOBS of proof about the nature of the universe, evolution, biology, physics, chemistry etc. That's what we base our beliefs on; proof, evidence, rationality.
It's not a 'cruel belief'. Truth is never cruel or fair or good, it's simply truth.

Well, mostly when people say they are an atheist they are saying it is VERY likely there is no God. Being an agnostic means you believe there is a God but you don't believe/follow organized religion. I think it is very unlikely there is a God, so I say I am an atheist, but I haven't died yet, so I really don't know if there is an afterlife or not. It would be nice and comforting to think that there was, but I find it highly unlikely based on the evidence. I NEVER say or even think I know better than anyone else. I don't think arrogance is inherent in atheism, I think arrogance is only inherent in extremism.

No, it's 0% belief. To be an atheist is to be unconvinced at all that there are any gods, just as you are unconvinced at all of the existence of Tinkerbell. Both are mentioned in books. Does that mean your lack of belief in Tinkerbell is faith? I don't think so. I think it's lack of faith in Tinkerbell.
And we know that we are electrochemical beings on a rock hurtling through the universe because of evidence. So, it is not just blind faith. It is actually backed by something.
Unfortunately, your god myth isn't backed by anything except the say-so of some old men who lived 2000 years ago. There's plenty of good evidence to show that they just made up that stuff and borrowed the rest from other religions. There is little evidence at all of any real Jesus. The stuff written about him was written decades after he supposedly died.
