Hi, I am Puerto Rican and i am the President of the Spanish class in my school (the teacher needs help). But Puerto Rico is the BEST place in the World, here are just a small portion to prove it:
1)The People- we are always so unique, there is no racism at all since we are all the same.
2)Christmas- We do not only celebrate Santa Claus, but we celebrate the Three Wise Men day which is on january 6th. The cool part is that we take a shoe box and we put grass in it for the camels and we put it under our beds and then the "Wise Men" give the grass to their camels and leave presents.
3)Best Foods-Mofongo- it is in form of an upside down bowl but it has plantain and many other yummy things. Fried Bananas- "Amarillitos Fritos" they are so good and so tender YUMMY!!
"Chicharrones de Pollo"-No words to explain t, everyone before they die they must try this!!!!
4)The way we move- We are probably one of the best "movers & shakers" on Earth. By that I mean the way we dance.
5)Our land- we have the most beautiful beaches, the most wonderful forests, and the most beautiful trees, my favorite one is the Flamboyán. We have the Coquies. The people in Hawaii kill them but they sing us to sleep. Hawaii and Puerto Rico are the only places that the Coquies live in. The coquies are tiny frogs who sing "coqui". You can go to google or yahoo, click on pictures and write their names and see the Flamboyánes and Coquíes.
6)Our blood-We have the Spaniard, African, and Taino "Sangre Taína" blood. Our history is one of the most interesting ones. Personally the first one is Egypt's.
7)El Morro- The Morro was created along time ago by the Spaniards if i am not mistaking to protect the islands and its people from pirates and invaders. El Morro still stands, and you probably can find it in yahoo pictures or google's
8)Our Love- we share our hearts to everyone, we are not divided, we are one, of course there are always the stupid gang members, but you will find those everywhere around the world. I hope my Puerto Rico attracts your interests, because it should capture everyones'.

For one, people from Spanish speaking country use one form of corn or another as the main staple in most of their meal.
Second, Spanish speaking people are very family oriented. They like to centrilize everything within the family circle.
Third, the Spanish language spoken in said countries is Castillian Spanish which comes from the mother country of Spain which colonized most of these countries.
Fourth, in some of these countries, exists a leftist or almost leftist government where the people in power help out the lower class citizen rather than their pockets.
Finally, Spanish speaking people have the most tolerance of other races than americans do.

These are generalizations, but for the most part:
1. We love to dance - salsa, cumbia, ballenato, techno, house, etc.
2. When we salute someone else, we kiss him/her on the cheek
3. We are very social and like to get together with our families, relatives and friends as often as possible
4. We celebrate the day of the dead (November 2nd)
5. In Ecuador we haven't had a president finish his term (usually 4 years) since 1996.

Here in Perú we have a popular dish wich is called "Siete Colores" (Seven colors) and it contains, ceviche (a raw fish dish), papa a la huancaina (potato with a chili based sauce), spaghetti, chinese food, ... and 3 more ... I never had eat it. But its eaten by poor people . Any way, let me tell you, people say it's delicious. By the way, the seven dishes on their own are delicious :-), may be the mix of them is too.
