He likes you, but doesn't want to tell some of his friends. Too bad for him, he is not being truthful for the sake of being cool. Until he admits his affection for you in front of them I would suggest keeping him as an acquaintance/friend or tell him to get lost and find yourself a real person to fall in love with.

Because most guys feel that they have to be macho and ACT like a player/pimp to get respect from their friends. 9 times out of 10, the friends that laugh at a guy for showing his feelings for the woman hes likes/loves are the same ones who are sprung over someone themselves or can't even get date. Here's a scenario:
Friend 1: (talking to his girlfriend on the phone) okay, I'll call you when I get home, bye..(hangs up).... Man, I really like her.
Friend 2: Whatever, your whipped. If I was talking to her she would be calling me daddy already!
Friend 1: I should be alot harder on her huh?
Friend 2: Yeah man, you wear the pants.
Friend 1: True dat, True dat. Well, It's getting late so I'm going to the house. I'll holla at you later.
Friend 2: Ayight man, later.
(Friend 1 leaves)
Friend 2: (calls his "girlfriend") baby where are you?
Friend 2's "Girlfriend": I told you I am with my friends, so stop asking me where I am.
Friend 2: But baby I miss you, I haven't seen you in 2 days.
Friend 2's "Girlfriend": Look...(sighs)...I'll call you back (hangs up).
Friend 2: (thinks to himself) I'm so lonely and fake.

If he thought highly of you hed be proud to tell anyone and everyone how he feels about you so either his friends think therz something wrong with you, he doesnt really like you that much or hez just looking for a good time not a long time with you............. good luck, but be warey.

I did that too, cuz my friends didnt like her. His friends prolly dont like you or he is embarresed to admit to his friends that he likes you, since maybe his friends might think of you as a loser. But honestly it matters more about what he says to you when you guys are alone, cuz of peer preasure

A boy who actually truly loves you, wouldn't mind introducing you to his friends. In my opinion, he's just 'having some fun'. I'd rather you drop him.
