guys (or girls!) help me out?

i have long brown hair... should i cut it short or leave it?! i'm about 5'6, skinny, and very fair skinned.

I believe the cut really depends more on your face shape. Your hairstylist or a style magazine can help you decide what looks best on you. However, I really like long layers and either angled in the front or long side bangs. If you're looking to dye your hair, you should soften up the color by adding highlights or dying your whole head a lighter shade of brown to complement your fair skin tone.

Would not recommend chopping it all off, but depending on what you consider long, even an inch or two and layering can feel like a major change. Just remember how long it took you to get it to that length, and judge accordingly. Went from hair to my knees to at the end of a year in a high back razor cut, layered into my face, 4 years later still regret that last cut.

It sounds like you're in a mood for a change. Look thru some magazines/websites for some hairstyle .....then go to your hairdresser...see what they say or if they have some ideas too.
A new hair style doesn't have to drastic...cut it short or leave it long. There's a lot of options. good luck.

I think you should get your hair cut about shoulder lenghth and layered a bit. I did it and I can do a load of different styles. I also got it dyed realy dark brown with a few bright red hilights.

cut it about to your ribcage, and curl it. that looks really pretty with brown hair and light skin.

if it's been the same for a year, get a new style. like layers or something. if you want something drastic get it short, like chinlength, or something else cute. kepp it at least sholder length if you want to do stuff with it.

you should definitely leave it... the shortest should be shoulder length
