Women always say they dont want to fall into the toilet. I used to believe that excuse until I thought about it. No matter how tired or drunk I have been I have never sat on a toilet with the seat down. Whats up with that?

First of all falling into the toilet is not the main problem. How come men have a problem aiming into that big hole? Women dont like sitting into urine. Yuck!

Jbyrd,
This is a thing that makes me think that Alfred Hitchcock was right about women!

I'm a dude, and if I go to the bathroom and pee on the seat, I should clean it up, right? Any woman would tell you the same thing.

It's my responsibility to make sure that the seat is up and then to flush and clean if necessary. But whose responsibility is it to put the seat back down? The man's. Why?

I figure after a lot of consideration, that woman like to place blame on someone else. It's too much to admit to being unaware of their surroundings, and take responsibility for sitting in the toilet. So, the blame HAS to go to the person who left the seat up. Not the person (themselves) who stupidly sat in the toilet.

No woman is going to look upon my answer with favor.

As a smaller female, I have sat on a toilet with the seat up. Not long after I was married, I had to go at 2 in the morning. Not wanting to turn on lights and disturb the master's rest, I went to the bathroom in the dark, sat on the toilet with the seat up and fell into the sonnuvabee. That woke me up good and fast. Nothing like cold water on your bare sleepy *** at 2 in the morning. I learned after that to check the seat, lights on or not.

You never sit on a toilet with the seat down? Not even when you poop? Okay well, let's try this .......you forget why women like the seat down and we'll forget you like to sit on the cold skinny porcelain part of the toilet bowl, y'know, the part that is usually covered in small pee droplets

For starters, if you are a man, you sit down much less frequently on a toilet than women do. We only ever sit, while men stand probably 75% of the time.
Secondly, you have to put the seat up cos your aim is so poor, right? Well we want to sit on the part that was protected from your pee cos you put it up!
Personally, I like the lid as well as the seat to be put down when you're done, because when you flush, who knows how many tiny particles of yuk go flying up into the air?!

Well it use to happen to me when I was younger, but now I always put the lid down, so since I have to lift the lid to first to go I never have it happen. I insist on having the lid closed to contain any possible smells, especially when someone else uses the toilet.

It makes you feel like an idiot if it happens, cause you can't believe you didn't check if the seat was down first.

As a note, women don't have to have the seat down to pee, but it's a lot harder to keep from missing the bowl.

The obsession is, we don't like to fall so far down into a hole we are not expecting!
Talk about shock!!!!
Then it's climb your way back out, get your composure!
Why did he do that?????
I think too, maybe it is the same reason
That men don't flush the toilet, they just walk out and leave it
for you to flush the next time they go in, and sometimes
they miss the hole and too, and we have to walk it in,
if we don't watch our step.
It's dangerous to go in there after a man has been in there,
you think, maybe this time they put too much toilet paper in
and didn't flush it!!!!!!!!

Have you ever made a mad dash for the bathroom in the morning only to encounter a very wet toilet bath? It is not fun.But then I am the only woman in my household of men and I am just content that the even lift the seat.

I think that the thought of touching the seat with fingers might put them off. So they want the seat down to avoid having to do that.
